ValPlayso — Attraction in Valparaiso

My nieces absolutely love this park with multiple slides, lots of swings, a trampoline, monkey bars, climbing walls, and more! There are so many different areas that encourage imaginative play for children, and the playground was uniquely designed with separate areas for toddlers and older kids. One thing to note is that the playground does have open entrances on both sides of the play area and the positioning of some of the structures doesn’t always allow for easy site monitoring of children if they are playing in different sections of the park. I do appreciate the convenience of having restrooms located on site and close to the play area, and there are many picnic tables to choose from if you’re need a place to eat. it’s a great park but unfortunately always a few bad apples that dont follow rules. and i’m not talking about the kids i’m talking about the parents. a group of 4 boys that look around 8-10 years old, keep playing tag and wildly running around the tot lot side, coming close to knocking into my 1 year old and other toddlers several times. there is a separate big kid side for this reason. the parents of these boys are too busy chitchatting and socializing to even be bothered to look over at their kids even once to tell them to move their game to the big kid side. i’ve seen these people on 2 occasions now so next time they show up and it’s the same thing, i will be saying something. if you see them,...

Very, very nice park with modern amenities all around! The playground area's equipment is brand new and sits on a shredded rubber type of material (rather than wood chips or rock) for kids' safety. There are also multiple trails such as the "Butterfly Trail" that are each less than one mile, are themed differently, and are engaging for children. Also, a community garden is located here for residents that may not have a yard at home and/or need more space than their yards may allow to have an additional space of their own.
