We got there about 9:30 am after an hour drive. When we got there, there was at least four different types of birds including 8-10 beautiful large pelicans. It lasted 10 minutes until some decided their dog had permission to run in and chase the birds away. I am still confused over the complete inconsideration of not only the fact this is a bird estuary, the dog has a ton of space along the beach, and the disturbance of what was a peaceful, wonderful experience…for 10 minutes. We waited for an hour and a half for most of the birds to come back. Just as they were starting to, yep, two more dogs were allowed to run into the river and chase them away again. Makes me wonder what they would do if a lion was brought...
