We stayed overnight in Viera for our sonās ice hockey game at nearby Space Coast Iceplex, and had a limited amount of time to see the area. We happened upon this hidden gem as it was located very close to the hotel and remained open til sunset. Even tho the shoreline is to the Indian River and not the ocean, there is a small stretch of sandy beach that you can walk along and take some pictures. There are several covered āgazebosā with walkways and stairs leading down to the beach that you can reserve in advance for parties or gatherings which seems like a great option. However, the evening we went, only a few patrons were sitting in a couple gazebos so we were able to go into one. Picnic tables inside. Cute little park and play scape for younger kids, and a pavilion (I did not go into) and dock which looks to have sustained some damage in a prior storm. Beautiful location and pretty surroundings, seemed very peaceful in later afternoon/early evening. Recommend taking in the scenery and a quick walk along the shore if you are in the area or for those with children who would appreciate...

Very big fenced in play area with many different options of activity for children to explore and interact with. Plenty of parking and clearly marked instructions for each area. The park was clean and welcoming. I recommend to anyone looking for a place to host a small party as the individual pavilions give a good amount of privacy to enjoy whatever the occasion should be. Several strategically placed trash bins that make it easy and convenient to discard trash. Overall a very family friendly park with many accommodating options no matter...

There are usually a few families around having a picnic or fishing. It has never felt crowded. There is a semi-homeless guy that may ask for money, but he is low-key about it.
There is a recently updated playground. The restrooms in the large picnic pavillion are decent.
Towards evening, there is often music drifting over from Pineda Inn. It is a very pleasant place to watch...
