Fascinating and extensively networked paths give you access to the wetlands that would be impossible without a flat bottomed boat with a fan to drive it. I appreciate the boards put down to help with the mushy trails in places. Some of the trail is very overgrown through. Still a nice trail and it connects to Leesylvania State Park via the Potomac...

You can stroll the boardwalk and there you may find nature' suprises like wild pears, plenty of birdlife, depleted iron ore and perhaps gold.
