The best parks in our book usually have large green lawns, paved sidewalks surrounding the park so I can jog with the stroller, and my son’s favorite - swings. This park doesn’t have any of those things so it’s not our favorite, but we pass it on one of our morning jogging routes so I always let my son out of the stroller to explore for a little bit. There has never been any kids playing on the structure while we have been there but the tennis courts are always busy.

Having been to the Penasquitos Adobe Rancho House I expected more and was a bit disappointed as this was not on the same caliber. The very short trail was mostly shaded. It is very short. Restrooms were open for the holiday weekend at least. The Adobe can be rented for venues - birthdays, weddings or whatnot, but again the grounds were not maintained.
