The Pumpkin Patch Playground — Attraction in Walden

We attended a Birthday Party here. It was our very first time there and we brought our 9 year old and our 2.5 year old. This playground is very nice. There are tons of huge, tall beautiful trees which provide fantastic shading... Perfect for hot, sunny days!! It has several totally awesome slides, even the adults had fun on them!😉 The playground is very nicely divided into age appropriate sections... The littles have things they are able to play on/have fun with that are their size, as well as bigger things for the bigger kids! There are several benches for seating to rest on. However, there are only 2 picnic tables and they are on a pretty steep incline. Given that we were there for a Birthday Party, that made it very difficult to pour drinks, serve pizza/cake and have somewhere for the presents (and to open presents)... Since there were only 2 tables together and they way it had to be set up due to the incline, there was no where left to sit and eat. Not a huge problem, as there is a bench very close but if you have small children you know a bench and eating aren't exactly ideal. Just a little inconvenient but overall very nice. Loved this place, great place for children to play around and very safe environment. Lots of things to entertain the kids which adults can fine a place to catch up with each other. They have limited parking place, they have a very large place to have a picnic tables and chairs. They have a very clean toilet each time I am there. Children will love it, it is a great playground, the only thing is it is on Signal Mountain, and can be hard to find if you don't know the area well as the playground is off the main road from view. Just look out for the fire station and Ace Hardware, because it is next to the fire station and Ace Hardware off...

I remember going here back in 1996 when I was 7 years old. I was shocked to know it was still an active playground. I was thrilled to take my 2 year old son to a place I had fond memories of. This place has been so well taken care of and developed. I love that it is all wood, and the slides are amazingly fun (confession, I am well past the age limit, but couldn't help but go down them!). The bathrooms are so extremely clean and accessible.. This is one of the absolute best playgrounds to take your children to. So glad that it is still there so that my son can make memories like I did!...
