Shame on the city and shame on Oregon. This should be open every day of the week. It’s a wonderful facility and a really good museum. The people that I encountered were very nice and helpful. four stars only because it’s limited access on some days.

Inside this building you’ll witness history come alive. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Learn how Waldport came to be. How the bridge was constructed and how the lumber industry was king. Interesting place to visit.

One of the best kept secrets on the coast! Super friendly people and lots of awesome displays. Ever wondered about those beautiful bridges along Highway 101? This is THE place to learn all about them!

Great location for this site, next to the water and good views. Have been here before and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Any questions you have they will have an answer or how to find out more. Variety of brochures for entire coast and other areas of the state. Updated with newest features and details of local events. Always a pleasure to stop here and get more information

Found out today that Alsea Bay is an estuary and is protected from dredging and the bay and river have almost 2,000 seals. We can see them when we cross the bridge and are always amazed at the numbers of them sunning on the sand islands when the tide is out. Found out that about about 3 miles east on Highway 34 is an excellent opportunity for birding. Staff at interpretive center state the lake has good access and areas to observe birds and is also visited by tour buses for the variety of species. Good spots for those who have a mobility problem like my husband has to be able to observe birds in and around the lake. Plan on going there in the near future. Highly recommend this facility for the amount of information you can get and the pleasure...

My dad helped work on the bridge crossing over into Waldport and we try to make our way down there every time we're on the coast. This was my first time in the visitor's center and they've done a really good job. The ladies that were running it that day were so kind and set us up with a short documentary film on the bridge. The kids were excited to see Grandpa on the TV and it was beautiful getting to show them some part of Oregon history that our family...

Not too shabby of a place. Breakfast was only toast muffins and hard boiled eggs. There are no microwaves or refrigerators in the nightly rooms but they do have them in the weekly rooms. You definitely get what you pay for at this hotel. The manager was awesome and a nice guy and we also like that they have fire pits right on the Bay next...
