I recently had the pleasure of visiting Debevino winery and meeting the co-owner, John. I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.
Upon arrival, John greeted us warmly and shared his deep passion for winemaking. He took us on a personalized tour, explaining the intricacies of the winemaking process, the history, and delicious conjurings they've concocted. It was evident that every step is taken with meticulous care and attention to detail.
Of course, the true highlight was the wine tasting. Debevino offers a wide range of varietals, and each one was a delight to the senses. From the crisp and refreshing whites to the robust and velvety reds, every sip was a testament to their expertise and dedication. The flavors were balanced, the aromas enticing, and the overall quality outstanding.
What truly sets Debevino apart is the hospitality and genuine warmth we experienced throughout our visit. John's knowledge, coupled with his friendly demeanor, made us feel like valued guests rather than mere visitors. He effortlessly answered all our questions, shared captivating stories, and ensured our comfort at every turn.
In addition to the wine, Debevino also offers a variety of tasting rooms where visitors can relax and savor their favorite selections. The staff members were attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent recommendations and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
I highly recommend Debevino winery to anyone seeking an unforgettable wine experience. Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur or simply appreciate the finer things in life, this winery is sure to exceed your expectations. John's passion for winemaking, combined with the superb quality of their wines and the warm hospitality, make Debevino a true gem in the world...
Read moreSo we called three times about a reservation. We asked for a 4pm reservation but we were not sure what the time window was. The owner assured us it was fine if we came anytime after 3:30.
We also asked to make sure there were 2-3 vegan meals available and juice as there were vegans and people not drinking.
We were told also that we were allowed to stay till 6:30 at the tables but they officially close at 6pm, so the check would be closed by then. We were told it would be fine to have a meeting in the parking lot until 7.
We arrived at 4:45pm, after updating them at 4pm that we would be arriving at that time. They were all sold out of the vegan options and offered veggies with ranch but ranch isn't vegan.
Then they came over to us right at 5:55pm, telling us they were closing and they would clean around us and telling us what a hard day they had, despite us not complaining about them not serving us the food we discussed earlier. It felt pretty hostile and unwelcoming but we planned to finish our meeting for an upcoming wedding.
We were done at 6:20, earlier than they told us we could be at the tables, we were planning logistics and they started locking the gate at 6:45pm.
After the amount of coordination to ensure me and my party could meet and have what we needed, it was very jarring how we were rushed and nothing was delivered that was promised. They even said they could customize a vegan cheese pizza for us. That was not delivered.
Our guess is that one owner made false promises to us and the other owner just wanted us out.
I would not come here again...

The Tasting was excellent! For $12 each, we got to taste four wines each and all were excellent. We also got charcuterie and wine slushees. Yes, wine slushees are typically overrated. Yes, you should still get them because they’re absolutely delicious!
Our waitress, Maria, was fabulous and very helpful and attentive. We also spoke with another waiter, Richie, who helped us out too and was super nice.
Can’t wait to go back here! They’ve really gotten down this whole “social distance” thing and they have hand sanitizer that you can visibly see staff using frequently. They also all have (branded) masks. Excellent wine, excellent service, excellent little place! Unexpected for Walpole but exactly...
