Country Store — Local services in Foxborough

Awful. I have frequented the country store many times and this past time visiting the location I got treated so unbelievably awful. Working in retail, I understand the stresses of dealing with the public and so on and so forth, but the way that I was treated by this Arab man working behind the counter was unacceptable. I placed my items on the side of the register and told him I had to grab one more item but my arms were clearly full. He disregarded what I said and continue to start ringing in my items. When I told him that they were separate transactions and I still had to grab one more thing he huffed noticeable out loud and rolled his eyes. I quickly hurried to grab my last item but was having trouble finding it right away. Another customer came in and he came down the isle after me and told me I had to check out right now. I told him it was okay he could take her first and he told me no I had to check out now because I was already in the system. I just went to the register and he continued to throw the receipt and pen at me and tell me to sign. It was completely embarrassing and degrading. I would never recommend this business to anyone, and would highly suggest this individual is re trained in the business world as to how to treat PAYING CUSTOMERS, and...

Homie at the register thought he was sneaky and tried charging me an extra $3 (x2 1.49 surcharge, one surcharge for each item) to what I was buying. When asked about why the total was almost $9 with only 2 packs of plastic utensils (3.49ea), he just kinda stumbled over his words and said "it's thst much". Conveniently the extra charges weren't there when I told him that I only wanted one of the items instead of both as originally planned. Pretty scummy honestly and I don't recommend people coming here unless you want to be overcharged for absolutely no reason. Was paying in cash by the way, so he was really just trying to milk money out of me, there is no excuse for this behavior. This was the youngish looking dude, probably in his 30s, but I don't doubt all of the other cashiers...

I have been going to country store for the past 24 years. When I was a child I was given free candy and as an adult I am blessed with the sarcastic humor that every massachusetts native loves. Karen, for your information you did not speak to an Arabic person. Before you start labeling people maybe you should get to know them first. I am not surprised that you had a bad experience after reading your review.

It's a great place to grab a coffee in the morning, the regular morning crowd is great and the service is impeccable.
