We were so excited to check this place out. When we got there everything was so dark and it was hard to navigate your way around. Now I consider myself to still be young and hip...(I'm 60) but the only ambiance that we experienced was some l e d strip lighting in pink and blue placed here and there to zhush the place up. We went to see J. C. Superstar on April 16th. The show was just ok. I'm not trying to offend anyone's talent here...there were a handful of people that had real talent but when Jesus was portrayed as a woman, it just ended it for me personally. The ladies restroom facilities only had 4 stalls and an hour into the show one of the stalls was void of toilet paper completely. Poor planning that for sure. I will never understand why you would pour millions of dollars into a venue and you only have 4 bathrooms? I looked for another restroom area and could not find one...was expecting to have flanking bathrooms on both sides of the stage. We got a couple of beers and they were WAY overpriced. I'm disappointed that this is yet another hoity toity overpriced venue in our area. We'll go back in May to see Nick's in Time band and am hoping for a better experience. I'd like to help plan their next building venture, as I think I could speak for the "average" person and guide them as to what we want and expect. So from me it gets a...

Mickey’s Black Box is truly a gem of a venue! We had the honor of hosting A Symphony of Music and Motion here, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming, professional, and attentive to every detail, ensuring our event ran smoothly.
The space is elegant and versatile, with state-of-the-art lighting and sound that elevate the performances to a new level. The acoustics were impeccable, making every note of the music and every word of the poetry resonate beautifully with the audience.
The setup allowed for an intimate yet dynamic atmosphere, perfect for the blend of music, dance, and storytelling we presented. The audience raved about the comfort of the seating, the clear sightlines, and the overall ambiance of the venue.
Special thanks to the team at Mickey’s Black Box for going above and beyond to accommodate our needs and ensure the event's success. If you’re looking for a venue that combines professionalism, charm, and top-notch facilities, Mickey’s Black Box is the place to be!

Read moreI went to see Dorothy at Mickey's Black Box when I heard their new song Rest in Peace on 105.7 the X the day before, when Hawaiian Chris James mentioned that they were one of the best bands coming to the area. When I heard her vocals and the band it was all I needed to get my tix. $35 to see 3 bands, you couldn't beat that price. Small, but very clean and beautiful venue to see bands. Only holds 300 people. Prices for beer $7.50 and liquor $12 were a little high. But overall a great place. Chris James was absolutely right about Dorothy. I believe a Grammy or 2 are in their horizon. I would recommend Mickey's...
