I was very disappointed with my visit. Plenty of cool reptiles, however taken care of terribly. I was very saddened by the state of the enclosures. Ball pythons should not be cohabited. Not only that, none of the snakes had proper hides or enclosures, all of the enclosures looked dirty, and almost all of the snakes had stuck shed/pieces of shed all over their tanks— not to mention a lot of the tanks were too small for them. Also, not all of the information on the signs is accurate. If it’s going to be a reptile museum, shouldn’t signs have accurate information? This place obviously isn’t run by people who care about animals. It’s not a good look to be supporting borderline animal abuse. You guys can absolutely do something about this but obviously are choosing not to. So many of the reptiles are stressed out. Very heartbreaking to someone who was hoping to find a cool new place to see some reptiles, as a reptile owner myself. Shared some photos of the poor environment the snakes were in.

Edit: It is incredibly disheartening to see that two years after my initial review, there continues to be reviews talking about how terribly the reptiles are kept here. Please, if you truly care for the well-being of animals, do not support this place. They purposely are ignoring bad reviews. If you can, please file a report stating that these animals are not living in...

It's a gift shop first, then a bug display with a room full of snakes and lizards in the back. It's cool to stop by here on the way somewhere, but I wouldn't suggest making this your final destination. It's very small and they sell mostly chachkis like toys, small books, pictures, ant farms, and butterfly larvae. It's mostly over-priced novelty junk you can get at the dollar store, so be prepared for your kids to ask you to buy a $10 geode or $12 lizard hat. We bought a $4 butterfly larva, being the frugal people we are and named him Harry, but I don't think he survived the trip home in the hands of an eleven year old boy. R.I.P. Harry. We ended up with a raise your own butterfly kit and a small ketchup cup with a dead larvae, or grain of rice, I couldn't really tell.

All in all, cool stop, fun for kids, interesting insects and stuff, leave your...

This place made me feel very sad. I don’t even know if you can really call it a museum, it’s so small. I know that even small museums have to start somewhere right? But it’s just so small and all the reptiles were in such tiny tanks, I really felt bad for them. I honestly think they should maybe donate all the lizards, snakes and other creatures to a larger facility where they would have more room to explore and live. I really don’t mean to disparage what this institution is trying to accomplish, but at what cost? I appreciate that they are trying to get young people interested in reptiles, insects and other crawling things, but it just didn’t seem kind to have them in such tiny enclosures. I couldn’t handle being in there, it made me feel bad. There’s got to be a better solution of educating people and still caring for the creatures on...
