Myrtle Falls is one of those places that feels like a little slice of paradise. Located within Mount Rainier National Park, the waterfall offers a stunning view with the majestic Mount Rainier as a backdrop. The easy, accessible trail makes it a perfect spot for hikers of all levels, whether you’re just passing through or on a longer trek.

The falls themselves are beautiful – the water cascades over a series of rocks, creating a serene, peaceful atmosphere. If you’re lucky enough to visit on a clear day, the mountain’s towering peak looms in the distance, making for the ultimate photo op. It’s no wonder this spot is a popular choice for photographers and nature lovers alike.

The walk to the falls is short, but it’s a fantastic way to experience the beauty of the park without too much effort. The surrounding wildflowers, the sound of the water, and the fresh mountain air make it a refreshing and peaceful escape.

Overall, Myrtle Falls is a must-see when visiting Mount Rainier National Park. Whether you’re looking for a quick stop or a beautiful spot to unwind and take in nature, you...

Myrtle Falls is one of the most beautiful spots in Mount Rainier. The trail to the falls is short, only about 10–15 minutes, and really easy for everyone. The view of the waterfall with the mountain in the backdrop is stunning and definitely worth the stop.

There’s another trail that continues further up Mount Rainier which I couldn’t take this time because of limited time, but if you can, it’s worth exploring. My tip would be not to try to cover five different mountains in one trip, instead spend a couple of days just at Rainier. There’s so much to see here, from Myrtle Falls to Crystal Lake and plenty of other beautiful trails.

An easy hike, incredible scenery, and one of the highlights of the park.

Everything you’ve heard about this beautiful park is true. Who ever named this area paradise was completely right. If you only have a few hours you must visit myrtle falls, the views are astonishing. I’ve hiked to this spot a few times and just have to stop and thank our creator for making such beautiful sights for us to enjoy. It’s a short hike up hill from the parking lot but it’s so worth it. There’s a few benches to stop and take a break on the way up, it’s all paved but you may find a few patches of snow on the path early in the summer. It almost feels like you are in a postcard. Come and see it for yourself you won’t be disappointed, just please stay on the trails, take trash with you, don’t feed wildlife, and soak in all the Beauty this...

Not too bad for a last minute detour. ⤵️ Save to plan your adventure. Arrive later afternoon/evening 🥾Hike Snow and Bench Lake Trail 2.2 miles -moderate Enjoy the reflections of Mt. Rainier in Bench Lake and the beautiful blue-green waters of Snow Lake. 🚡Check into accommodations of choice; we stayed at Crytal Mountain ski resort, where you can ride the Gondola for mouth-dropping views of the mountain 🪞Early morning start at Reflection Lake-great photo op Arrive Early at Paradise (parking fills fast) 💦Hike a 1-mile round trip to Myrtle Falls tucked under Mt. Rainier. 🥾Wanting more? Hike the Iconic Skyline Loop Trail- 6 miles hard. We suggest counter-clockwise to avoid the crowds You’ll hike in wildflowers (July-August) tons of marmots, glaciers, and mountain views including Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Hood, and Mt Adams from 📍Panorama Point Part of the trail was socked in and super busy. Walking along the cliffs we lovingly nicknamed this part of the trail the Cliffs of Insanity 💦Stop at 168 ft tall Narada Falls just a short (and a little steep) walk from the car. Please recreate responsibly Stay on trail respect wildlife Pack out all trash, TP, and food scraps Have you ever did an last minute detour?
