Petworth Neighborhood Library — Attraction in Washington

The Petworth Public Library is a spacious, three-floor library with a variety of offerings for all ages. The basement level features conference rooms that can be reserved, which is a nice option for meetings or group work.

I love it here, I really do, the staff are always kind and attentive, they greet me when I walk in. And the seamless hold system allows me to check out books from any DC library and lets me pick up at this location.

The manga location isn't as vast as the Georgetown location, but there's still a few good titles. Their criterion collection is great too, I've picked up a few. They also have popular films like Black Panther 2, but I mostly pick up their docu titles.

While it's an old building, it definitely has it's charm, there is a school nearby so it may get a bit busy around when school is let out. I find myself using their hold system than browsing and checking out there.

A nice place to sit and work/study. The place is relatively quiet (I was there in the afternoon) but can get loud at times, place is clean you can get 20page free printing daily with your library card. The staffs are kind and informative but can be busy. You can book two quiet study rooms on the second floor or meeting room on the basement. Overall, a very good library and worth a visit.
