The pizza is delicious. Unfortunately, the service / timing is hit or miss. I’ve only ever gotten it from the mobile truck that comes to my neighborhood about once or twice a month. The last time they came to the neighborhood (2-3 weeks ago), I tried to order through their mobile site, but it would not load the menu, so I couldn’t order.
So I arrived when they opened at 5 p.m. and was told to come back at 5:40 p.m. because they weren’t ready. I also told the employee that their mobile site wasn’t working and he told me that some people had ordered that way. (I tried several times throughout the day and it never worked.)
I arrived back at 5:45 p.m. and put in my order. The employee told me it would be 30 minutes so to come back at 6:15 p.m. (mind you, it typically takes them 5-10 minutes to have your pizza ready).
I returned at 6:15 p.m. to pick up my pizza, and there were 5-7 people in line. There wasn’t a separate line for people who had ordered but hadn’t paid, so I waited in the line, not wanting to be rude to others. While I was in line, a few people were talking about how they couldn’t order through the mobile site like they usually did.
It took 20-25 minutes to get to the front of the line. So, at 6:35/6:40 p.m. when I finally made it to the front of the line, the employee told me that they didn’t have my pizza because someone else must’ve taken it. I don’t know if this was true or not. But I didn’t have my pizzas in hand until between nearly 7 p.m.
There were several other people standing around looking visibly irritated by how long they were made to wait. And yet no one thought to offer coupons or discounts or to comp their pizzas. I don’t blame the employees. Management would need policies in place saying if anyone waits longer than X minutes or is particularly inconvenienced gets XYZ.
Timber Pizza management clearly banks on the fact that they make good pizza, so their customers will tolerate their less-than-stellar service. It is convenient and the pizza is good, but I have my limits. I’m glad more pizza establishments are opening soon. I’d rather give my money to a business that shows they value my time. (Also, reason #357 that I so miss Pizza CS. Amazing pizza AND...
Read moreExcellent food across the menu, but be careful if you order online. The price point would be normal at a normal pizza place, but Timber Pizza seems like they are intentionally misleading concerning portion sizing across the entire menu. It isn't worth it at this price point, and the mislead on sizing is a very slimy move worthy of one star.
Like every group that orders online, we wanted to make sure we ordered enough food for the group. Only one size of pizza is available, but there was no actual size information. Every pizza place I have been to in the US over my entire life provided the pizza radius in inches for each size, but none of us could find information about the actual size of ANYTHING, much less pizza, ANYWHERE on the site. Pictures of food have no scale and/or are close up. We finally found a single picture of a human hand actually holding a slice of pizza, the slice seemed decently sized so we pulled the trigger. That picture must'be been a stock photo, because that slice was twice as big as anything we got.
We got a bunch of different things. Everything looked like the pictures and tasted as advertised, but literally every single thing was tiny. Not small, TINY. There wasn't even close to enough for the group. The one pizza size is basically a personal pizza, but they advertise it like it's more she
It was delicious, but we bought this food with the intention to use it as a meal for more than one person. What we got turned out to be less dinner than amuse-bouche. I would recommend this place to a rich person who eats when they are bored but doesn't want to gain weight. Save your money if you eat because...
Read moreTimber Pizza was such a perfect choice to cater our wedding! From the get go, we knew we wanted pizza as our dinner and after speaking with multiple pizza caterers, it was obvious Timber Pizza was the right way to go. The communication with our wedding planner was prompt and Kevin was so incredibly helpful and responsive. Even after booking, Kevin was responsive to answer any last minute questions. Their menu is AMAZING and we had so many people complement the quality of the food for cocktail hour and dinner. Our tasting which was led by Kevin was also fantastic - so tasty and we were able to try so many things (pictures are from our tasting)! Kevin was also kind enough to tell the crew to make extra pizzas for the wedding party as we were staying at the venue that night. He was also able to accommodate adjustments to the salad for our guests who had nut allergies.
The only reason I couldn’t give 5 stars was the crew on the day of our wedding set up our table numbers incorrectly. Each table number was in a particular location on a chart I printed and it cost my parents being placed at a table that was very far from the dance floor where they couldn’t see anything, and also far from the bathroom which impacted my mother as she is handicapped and needed a closer table. The crew was also throwing away the reusable frosted cups we bought with our dogs on them which cost us fun souvenirs for our guests. Things that I’m just not sure were communicated to the crew properly, but overall everything else was phenomenal! Would book with Timber again for any...
