This museum accurately and thoroughly covers an impossibly important, yet gutting and tortuous, period in history. I cried inside the building, after hours of trying not to, and cried later as well. I was sickened by many of the graphic imagery (“graphic imagery”seems too small and self-centered a phrase for it). These individuals’ experiences were absolutely horrific, undeserved, and now they serve to educate us on what we need to always avoid as humans. We have not significantly evolved (neurologically, psychologically, physically, biologically) since that time, or for that matter from the people of ~200,000 years ago or so. We are capable of perpetuating the same evil as has occurred repeatedly throughout history, but we are also capable of learning about how those events came to transpire, and how to prevent similar incidents. There were optional videos hidden so accidental viewers did not vicariously traumatize themselves. There were graphic warnings. Videos showed the violent experiments on men, women, and children. Stacks of severed bodies and limbs. Pressure chambers. Lethal ice baths. Emaciated children. Always nude, dehumanized, controlled, captured. There were very grounding physical objects like the cobblestone path of a ghetto. A replica dividing wall. Camp bunk “beds.” Human transport carts.

A very powerful testament to the fact that humanity's worst suffering is almost always self-inflicted. I hope all of us will remember to keep an open heart and an open mind, so that we never again allow hateful demagogues to drag us down such a dark path.

This memorial is so well done. It is educational and a reminder of the past. I think it provides a lot of context into WWII and the great tragedies of the time. You can book tickets for timed entry, it cost $1.00 for processing only. I appreciate the personal card you receive at the beginning that gives you an individuals story from this time period. Overall, wonderful memorial and recommend to anyone. If there is any feedback I would give is to space patrons out more. Due to this memorial being predominantly signage and reading, it was difficult to do so due to the volume of people entering, predominantly towards...

This museum was very graphic and true to the historical record of the time. If you have young children be warned. Yes this is history and what is historically accurate, but it is disturbing to children. For those who are age appropriate the museum is a great reflection of the time but absent of...
