This museum accurately and thoroughly covers an impossibly important, yet gutting and tortuous, period in history. I cried inside the building, after hours of trying not to, and cried later as well. I was sickened by many of the graphic imagery (“graphic imagery”seems too small and self-centered a phrase for it). These individuals’ experiences were absolutely horrific, undeserved, and now they serve to educate us on what we need to always avoid as humans. We have not significantly evolved (neurologically, psychologically, physically, biologically) since that time, or for that matter from the people of ~200,000 years ago or so. We are capable of perpetuating the same evil as has occurred repeatedly throughout history, but we are also capable of learning about how those events came to transpire, and how to prevent similar incidents.

Read moreThis memorial is so well done. It is educational and a reminder of the past. I think it provides a lot of context into WWII and the great tragedies of the time. Overall, wonderful memorial and recommend to anyone. If there is any feedback I would give is to space patrons out more. Due to this memorial being predominantly signage and reading, it was difficult to do so due to the volume of people entering, predominantly towards...
