Sister Thrift — Attraction in Watertown

This place is great, I find lovely things here every week. Sometimes the perfume fragrance can be dense and overwhelming, I have asthma and so have had to cut my visit short to get fresh air. The manager is super kind and friendly, but she does have one cashier who has no social skills and is consistently rude. I think the woman may be on the spectrum, so I try not to take offense. She seems to be very task oriented and being pleasant to customers is difficult for her when she’s trying to get things done. She has never said anything to me other than, “would you like a bag?” and “do you want your receipt?” Good customer service is a skill, she should be instructed to greet people “hello” and offer an exiting salutation, “have a good day” etc. Those abilities should not be too...

Although this store did have nice things I will not be returning. While shopping here I came across a quilt that I really loved and I was not able to carry it while shopping. I asked to place it behind the desk so I can finish shopping then purchase the item but I was not allowed. They recommended that I use a cart which was way too large for the narrow aisles of the store. I just felt like they could have accommodated me especially since this was my first time visiting the establishments. This really deterred my experience and as much as I loved the quilt I did not want that negative memory to be associated with my new item so I left without the quilt and I will not...

This is my favorite thrift store in the whole Boston area! The turn over is fast enough that when I go 2-3 weeks after my previous visit, I see tons of new finds. I love thrifting for the thrill of finding things, so the fact that this place is charmingly crammed with knickknacks ranging from $1-$10 and always at a price that’s a steal, makes this place my preferred spot. The staff are friendly and working really hard. People who have left negative reviews of the staff being unaccommodating are just not going with the right expectation and mindset of a thrifter!
