Tucked away on a quiet corner, this little Japanese bakery is pure magic in every bite. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the warm, sweet aroma of freshly baked melon pan, delicate matcha pastries, and fluffy shokupan bread. Each treat feels like it was made with love—soft, perfectly balanced in flavor, and never overly sweet. The staff are incredibly kind and attentive, making you feel like a cherished guest rather than just a customer. The cozy interior, with its minimalist Japanese charm, invites you to slow down and savor the moment. From the crispy edges of a warm taiyaki to the pillowy lightness of their cream-filled buns, everything here is a little taste of Japan’s comfort and elegance. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a delicious escape from the everyday, this bakery is a hidden gem worth finding again and again. Nestled quietly in a charming little street, this tiny Japanese bakery is an absolute treasure for anyone who loves authentic, delicate flavors. From the moment you step through the door, the air is filled with the comforting aroma of freshly baked bread, sweet corn cheese , and a hint of matcha that instantly warms your heart. The display is a feast for the eyes—perfectly golden melon ban with a crisp, sugary shell, soft and fluffy loaves that look like clouds, and beautifully crafted pastries filled with custard, azuki beans, or seasonal fruits. Each piece feels like a work of art, made with care and precision. You can tell the bakers here put their heart into every recipe, creating treats that are flavorful without being overly sweet, just as Japanese baking should be. One of the standout delights is their matcha cream bun—soft, pillowy bread with a smooth, fragrant matcha filling that is both earthy and sweet. , with its thin, crisp shell and warm, perfectly sweet center, is another must-try. Every bite feels like a little trip to Japan. The staff here are just as delightful as the pastries. They greet you warmly, offer recommendations with a smile, and seem genuinely happy to share their creations with you. The shop itself is small but cozy, with a minimalist, Japanese-inspired design that makes you want to linger just a little longer, maybe with a hot cup of In a world of big, flashy cafés, this tiny bakery stands out by being humble, heartfelt, and full of flavor. It’s the kind of place you visit once and immediately know you’ll come back to again and again—a true hidden gem for anyone who appreciates the art of Japanese baking.

I’ve been going to this place every week for about three years even back when they were still called KoKo Bakery. They have by far the best Matcha latte around the area and are very consistent in their products and service. I’ve gotten two Christmas cakes, Thanksgiving pies, and I have tried every menu item they have available. Stand outs include the whole wheat bread, Matcha latte, Earl Grey Panna Cotta, Mango Cheese Cake, Peach Danish, and plain croissant. In comparison to similar cafes/bakeries like Japonaise Bakery, Paris Baguette, PB Patissiere, and OSome Cafe, this one totally beats them on consistency and taste. I’d also like to add that their Matcha latte beats most other latte and boba places when it comes to richness/purity, with the exception of maybe Cafe Luna. Go to this place! Update (9/19/29): I have travelled far and wide in pursuit of a great matcha latte. I have gone to Japan and I have gone to Copenhagen, but this bakery is still the standout in my mind. The matcha latte is perfect, it’s neither 10$ or badly mixed or washed out with oat milk or cloying or highly caffeinated or mixed with ice or too much/too little.

Cute little bakery!

There’s 2 little two seater tables inside and one inside. I didn’t see anyone sitting, most were just picking up to go.

Staff is super friendly and nice, patient with us even though we arrived 10 minutes before closing. They still had customers coming in as we left right before they closed for the day.

Since it was later in the day, they were sold out of some items. We ended up getting 2 Matcha lattes, chocolate croissant and corn cheese bun.

Matcha lattes tasted pretty good! I just got back from a trip in Japan so not as good as those, could use even more matcha or matcha flavor, but better than the other cafes I’ve tried around here.

Corn bun was fine, would order again, did the job.

Now chocolate croissant…. Love love love. The flakiness the chocolate the taste, just reallly delicious all around. The customer before us kept talking about it so we thought why not? And so glad we did. Will be...
