A great old Carnegie Library houses many of Waupun's artifacts. The gentleman inside was a goldmine of history. I could have stayed for days just looking at old photos of the town. Seeing a dirt road in front of the state prison was so interesting and to hear that East Waupun, out by the Horicon Marsh, used to be more populated than Waupun, stopped me on a dime.
