I want to preface this review by saying I was very excited to go to a smash room for the first time, but definitely left disappointed and honestly felt it was not worth the money.
I paid for the rage room ($120) for my friend and I. We were given two milk crates with champagne glasses, small saucers and some other things I can’t remember. We were also given two chairs and a computer to break (not the screen, just the box). In total, it took about 20 minutes to do everything. On their website it states you can buy a la cart items to smash. I asked and was told they were sold out. At the end, we were given markers to write one thing on the wall each. I read many reviews that mentioned meditation afterwards. I have no idea what they were talking about. Nothing like that was offered.
I would also like to mention that there were windows looking into the room. We were right next to the reception area, so people were looking into our room the entire time which made things extremely awkward. We were also asked what music we wanted played. We decided on rock, but nothing was ever played. Again, extremely awkward especially with people watching us the whole time. I would personally recommend that they add cameras into the rooms and put curtains on the windows so people can have more privacy, but they are also able to keep an eye on things which I understand needs to be done.
All of the employees were very nice and I really appreciate the owner’s reasoning for opening the smash room. We had fun smashing things, for sure. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t worth the price. I don’t know what the other types of rooms offered, but I would say if you are thinking about going here, do the most basic room. The rage room just...
Read moreI love the idea of this place but that’s about where it ends for me. My husband and I were really excited for this but the whole process felt really clunky, uncomfortable and we left feeling disappointed. For $90.00 and the way the description is on the website it makes you think you will be getting a bunch of things to break but that is not the case. They give you a small amount and tell you that you can pay cash for more. We had two milk crates with just a handful of items and a mini dvd player. The entire process from the moment we walked in to when we walked out took 20m and half of that time was spent with the workers trying to figure out how to work the music.
Would like to add that at the end of the session we were asked to give a 5 star review to receive a discount on our next visit so take that into consideration when reading other reviews.
This place has a lot of room for improvement. For the $90.00 this experience cost I should have just put down a tarp in my garage and go pick up a few things at goodwill. I would suggest you tamper your expectations significantly if you decide to proceed with trying...
Read moreBE PREPARED FOR A MESS. First off, Glenda and the team were great! Very helpful, kind, and accommodating. We took our 14 year-old and her friends for her birthday. They had a ton of fun in the rage room. We moved to the splatter room and they again had a ton of fun. They even provide a canvas for you to take home. Highly recommended for a couple hours of fun and just "something different."
The only thing preventing a 5-star review was that we weren't fully prepared for the mess the splatter room makes. The pictures on google show full Tyvek suits for protection. This wasn't the case. Small ponchos and shoe covers were provided. This allowed a huge mess on arms, pants, and shoes. The shoe covers are the thin throw-away type that easily leaks paint through and doesn't fully cover the shoe so all the shoes had paint on them.
Make sure to wear shoes you don't care about and potentially bring something to cover the seats in your vehicle since paint easily gets onto pants and transfers to your car.
Ultimately, a great experience, just...
