We were greeted as soon as we walked in, so the initial interaction was very friendly. I hadn't visited this store in years, because a prior encounter with an older employee at the previous location, left an unsavory experience scorched in my memory; However, after a few years I'd decided to try again. The chocolate covered potato chips were delightfully sweet, salty and savory. From the counter, we chose the chocolate covered graham cracker, peanut butter cup, chocolate covered shortbread, cashew cluster, peanut butter truffles and a couple other desserts. I do appreciate that they offer milk and dark chocolate varieties for a lot of the items. The chocolate is smooth and creamy, so either option is a good choice.

My husband ordered me a dozen chocolate covered strawberries for Valentine's day, and they were the worst I have had in my life. The chocolate coating was inconsistent and didn't completely coat the back, and the strawberries were overripe and too soft. Was there quality control? The pictures attached are of the top, bottom, and after one bite of one of the strawberries for reference. We do not intend to come back here again.

This place has the best chocolate ever. I typically get the pretzel rods for State Fair. However this year I was able to treat myself twice. I got the rods from the Fair and chocolate covered pretzels (combo of white, milk and dark chocolate) from the Wauwatosa Street Festival. It was a nice surprise seeing the chocolate stand serving my favorite chocolate. Their chocolate is a very nice sweet treat any time of the year.

I'm torn about writing this but, It has been bothering me since I left the store. I ordered a box of chocolates and 10 ($3.50) chocolate covered strawberries. I put a message in the comment box if they could package the strawberries in pairs, so 5 containers. I ordered this several days in advance. While picking up the order I received an email that they were having a special, chocolate covered strawberries were $2.00. I was being charged $3.50. I was hoping they would adjust the price. The first staff members were very kind but they asked another woman to come to the counter since I was asking about the cost. She said that the $2 strawberries were for walk-ins only, she then proceeded to package the 5 boxes of strawberries. She then said that i should have been charged $3.50 per box. It was a small white box with a gold ribbon, much more elaborate than I would have ever ordered. So, $17.50 for 5 empty boxes and $ 35.00 for 10 berries. She said they were giving me the boxes for free because of the current strawberry sale. Why wasn't i contacted about the cost for the boxes? I would have just ordered normal packaging. Since this has been on my mind I decided to post this, the strawberries were delicious. Had she adjusted my price I would have purchased another 10. It was just an awkward situation with that...

I'm not normally someone that splurges on artisan candy. Kit Kats are good enough for me. And if I'm feeling really fancy, I'll buy assorted chocolates on February 15th. However this place is right next to one of my favorite restaurants in the area, so I havent been able to resist at least peeking my head in, and the staff is so friendly and welcoming I keep going back.

They seem to have two themes:

They will cover absolutely anything edible in chocolate. Pretzels, licorice, caramel, fruit, whatever you can think of They will make chocolate into any shape you can think of. Being a musician, I gravitated towards the musical instrument shapes but they have something for everyone.

The chocolate is good and the prices are reasonable. The store itself still looks and feels comfortably "vintage", as though they havent upgraded unnecessarily since the 70s or 80s-- they still have the old fashioned display window, old school lights, etc. It makes me think of the more simple candy stores (and drugstores that sold candy) of my childhood that have fallen out of favor.

Last time I visited, I stopped in with some friends from church after dinner. One of them bought me a chocolate piano. I should eat it but it...

Awesome place! However when I went in today I ask for for 4 dipped strawberries. The lady started to pack the strawberries and she looked on the paper it stated that get 6 strawberries for $6. And as she was done packing the strawberries she hears me talking saying “oh , I might as well get this deal for $6 I’ll do that instead” And she continues to cash me out to remind you she never told me how much the 4 strawberries were. I was trying to take the cheap way out. Strawberries are still strawberries big or small. I would have took the deal. Moral of the story I ask at the end I wanted the deal 6 for 6. She hurried up and swip my card I’m not sure if she was in a hurry or if she was acting money hungry . I got 4 strawberries for $10.50. I felt like she was rude when I told her I would have took that deal and as I’m saying it she is preparing her self to...
