Ruckus & Glee — Local services in Wauwatosa

My daughter wanted a special stuffed animal for her friend's birthday present and I felt like Target gets enough of our money, so went looking for a locally-owned toy store. I found Ruckus & Glee online and since it's right near a candy shop (something else her friend wanted) it was perfect. I decided to order online and use curbside pickup so I could stay in my pajamas. The website was easy to navigate and they offered gift wrap - yay! I placed the order and shortly afterwards I received a call from the owner, Sara, who apologized that they didn't have the gift we ordered in stock. Instead she offered to Facetime with us while she took us on a virtual shopping tour of what they had in stock. My daughter picked out a new toy, she took my payment over the phone and it was as simple as that! Really impeccable customer service. I know the big box stores also have curbside pickup, but you will never get that courteous personal touch, and certainly the owner will not Facetime you for a personal shopping experience! So happy to see a local business weathering the COVID storm and adapting to the needs of their customers during the pandemic. We will be back! ...

The first time we came into Ruckus and Glee we were so impressed by the selection and friendliness and willingness to help by the employees. The prices are pretty high, but for a boutique type store that's expected. We stopped in this afternoon during a walk and I was SO disappointed. We walked in, the employee working said "Hello." and nothing else. She spent the entire time looking down at her cell phone, and even though we needed help she seemed so uninterested that we didn't bother, and just left. I don't know what changed between the first visit and now, but I came in for tactile flashcards for my blind son and will now be going somewhere more friendly and who doesn't make us feel like we were burdening her by making her look up from her phone. They have some neat stuff, but unfortunately we won't be returning to check...

Amazing store! I was on the hunt for birthday gifts for my niece & nephew, who live out of state, and really wanted to focus on shopping local vs. online and big box stores. I walked in and was amazed! The store had a wonderful selection of everything and a friendly and helpful team. Their customer service was absolutely fantastic...they do the little things like take off the price tag before they ship and give you a cute little to/from sticker for the gifts, so the twins know which gift is which. They even provide free gift wrapping (will let you choose wrapping paper if you want) and will package and ship for you too! Thank you Ruckus & Glee.
