As a skateboard enthusiast who has visited Tosa skatepark many times, I can say without a doubt that Tosa skatepark is one of the best places around to skateboard for a few hours. The quality of the skatepark is great, and it is a good place to go for beginners as well as more experienced skaters. The skate park is located in a very convenient spot, and all of the people are very nice and friendly.
The skatepark itself is very well made, with concrete ramps and excellent landscaping around the park. The concrete that makes up the park is very smooth, and there are little to no cracks in it. The ramps and obstacles flow very well together, and there are some smaller obstacles for beginners, as well as other obstacles for more experienced skaters. There is a decent sized bowl and a couple of areas to practice grinds and flatground tricks as well.
The location of the skatepark is in a great area. There is a nearby skateshop about 3 minutes away with great parts and helpful service. There is also a Metro Market that is walking distance away if you want an extra drink or some food. It is also in the Tosa village and there are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. There is also plenty of parking right next to the skatepark. I enjoy spending a few hours here with friends, then getting some food from the village afterward.
Sometimes it can be intimidating as a beginner to go to a skatepark because of all the people who are better than you, but all of the people that I have had experience with at the skatepark were awesome and sometimes there is nobody there. There are always plenty of other beginners there and also more experienced skaters. Most people keep to themselves but I have had multiple people come up to me and give me advice with a trick, or cheer when I land something I have been struggling with. Sometimes it is even fun just to watch some of the extremely skilled skaters while taking a break.
Tosa skatepark is a great place whether you are a beginner or experienced skater. It is an outstanding park, it is in a prime location, and the people are helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this park to any skaters looking for a...
Read moreThis is the best (outdoor) skate park in the area that I have been to. Good flat rail, good boxes. The transitions vary in sizes and a couple have slightly different radius which can make them more challenging for new riders. The park definitely has more "street" skating features then vert but if you want to ride a bowl they have a crazy bowl. Overall I feel like the skate park is great for all skill levels from first time to pro. The only bad thing is I wish they had another 2/3' quarter pipe somewhere to play around on. I am hoping in the future they keep...
Read moreThis skate park was so much fun! My daughter and husband both have enjoyed it. There’s a bowl, many areas to drop in and stairs to grind.
Best part, they are adding on to the skatepark and we were told that should be completed by sometime next week.
Be warned, I did get stung by a hornet while here. I’m not sure where the nest is but be on...
