St Mary Catholic Church — Attraction in Wayne

My mother was a loyal member of this church for over thirty years. Went every week and kept up with her donations even during the pandemic.She became sick in early July and was hospitalized. I called and left a message on Father Sean's voicemail to see if he could stop by for a visit. She was in Annapolis hospital which is a few miles from the church. He never returned my call. She became worse and was transferred to St. Joe's in Ann Arbor. I called again and talked with a receptionist who said she would have Father Sean return my call. Never called. The hospital social worker called twice with no return calls. My mother died of pancreatic cancer on August 25th. I called the church to set up a service and could not get a response. The receptionist told me that Father Sean sets his own schedule and would get back to me. He never did. I had to get another priest to perform the service. Today I received a letter from the Church asking for money. Unbelievable. I would strongly advise not supporting...

Attend church here weekly on Saturday afternoon, although I'm new here, being my church closed, people seem friendly and nice. I've always liked St. Mary's, was here couple times as a teenager in the mid 80's.. Church just put in a new Alter, which is nice.. I'll more than likely stay attending here, I was deciding between 2 churches, the other- St. Thomas, but St. Mary's was always my 1st. choice, even though I've been to S.T. before, and have family that attend there.. My only complaint- need to make church warmer during mass, in the winter!! I dress warm, and wear a heavy coat, and it's still COLD to me, and I only take 1 blood thinner!! I can just imagine the elderly, who may take more than me, if they even go?? There's way to make it comfortable, without it costing $$ , if people dont go to church, or go somewhere else, that may reduce $$ from those not attending?? WOW ! Just read a review, won't mention any names, but it gives a clear understanding of what is truly wrong with today's country. Bashing the Catholic Church which is the foundation of Christianity; JESUS CHRIST'S BIRTH, MINISTRY AND PASSION FOLLOWED BY HIS RESURRECTION IS THE "REAL" AND ONLY PATH TO GOD'S KINGDOM.
