🖤 Eta Pi — Where True Brotherhood Shines (and False Faces Fade)
I’ll never forget the moment Blake Thompson stood up for me. In a room where silence can feel louder than any shout, he chose conviction over comfort. He voted me in when it mattered most — not because it was easy, but because it was right. In that moment, Blake showed what real leadership looks like: someone who sees past whispers, rumors, or first impressions to the actual human heart behind them.
Blake reminded me why Delta Sigma Pi — especially Eta Pi — can still be something beautiful. Brotherhood isn’t built by always agreeing; it’s built by having the courage to stand up for someone who deserves a chance, even when it isn’t popular. That vote wasn’t just about me joining. It was about proving that kindness and integrity still matter more than status or politics.
And then there’s Sarah Erickson. Who showed me the other side: how easily words like “professionalism” and “brotherhood” get twisted into excuses to exclude. How judgment can wear a polite smile and hide behind procedure. She didn’t just vote against me; she made it clear that belonging here could be decided by the narrowest lens — and that hurt more than she’ll ever know. Because Delta Sigma Pi should be about lifting people up, not locking them out to protect a clique.
To Blake: thank you for proving what brotherhood should mean. To Sarah: thank you, too — for showing me exactly why voices like Blake’s matter so damn much.
In Eta Pi, there is real heart — people who fight for what’s right even when it’s quiet, even when it costs them something. And that’s the part of this chapter I will always choose to honor, and always choose to believe in.
