SAT 2025.08.09 ~06:10, after i arrived and parked my vehicle in the parking area beside Harris Teeter, Ardrey Kell Road, i went for an ~8+ mi CCW Loop walk: to Flat Branch Nature Preserve, Flat Branch Park, onto the Flat Branch un-marked "boot-tracks", and back to Harris Teeter. After the "iffy" crossing of Flat Branch Creek (GPS approx: 35.04396_-80.79920), i got lost for a while in the marsh before i safely out to the residences 😅 Relatively nice and cool weather, high 70s_F during my ~3 hrs walk. Saw no other person on the Flat Branch "trail", but a total of 10+ people (walking, jogging, cycling) in the neighborhood. Everyone was cheery and friendly. Flat Branch Nature Reserve, Flat Branch Park, and the neighborhood look nice; well-maintained and clean

These are great soccer fields. Nicely maintained, great goals and perfect lighting. The fields are marked with large markers and there is plenty of parking at Polo Ridge school.

Hidden gem in South Charlotte...great place for nature walks with the family. Dog friendly. No bikes. Plenty of parking and close to lunch spots nearby. It can be a little muddy after steady rains, but still passable. Pro tip — bring your binos to spot the birds and butterflies and frogs. Very relaxing...

Flat Branch is a well kept small preserve that was designed for teaching students from the school across the street. It is good for a quick walk. They also have a pavilion you can reserve, and restrooms. The only downside is the noise from the nearby roads. Please help keep this park clean and tidy so others...
