I give it 4 stars because I have always been grateful for finding this place when I did my full body laser I have loved the results. I have always loved coming here for the great overall luxurious experience. From knowledgeable laser technicians to friendly front staff. But today that wasn’t the case I have been struggling to feel the same experience coming in for my touch ups for certain areas.

But it seems that the laser/front desk area has been a bit neglected but I get it maybe the business is focusing on different services and products instead of laser. They post great photos have great ambiance basically good social media appearance but the quality for a person coming in for an apt seems a bit off. For me having to wait in the front with no clear front desk person no one to greet you, to then having great difficulty keeping with the same laser technician because of turnover, i booked with a new person today since I was in town for a laser touch up that I did last time but they (front desk and laser tech) seemed confused and appear to not be familiar with their line of work or on what services or areas I want treated. I had to cut my time short and ended up not getting the areas I wanted treated due to just an unprofessional unpleasant start. I even saw the lady who finished her service get irritated having to wait on the front desk girl to show up eventually to check her out. I wish this location had more permanent front desk or laser tech. All I ask for in a beauty service experience is for someone to greet me at the front then listen to me when I tell them what I am looking for in my treatment and be knowledgeable and quick to give me a price and then be confident and calm and knowledgeable when treating me. I don’t like people that looked confused, in a hurry, unbothered, not detail oriented (the lady never gave me protective eye wear during my laser treatment) I don’t like to pay for that type...

I was referred to this business on 7/29. On or around 7/31, I went out to their website and completed their online form for a laser scar removal consultation. Today is 8/9 and no one responded to my online request. I decided to just call today to see if I could get in. These businesses really should understand that customer service soft skills are just as important as the services that they provide. I explained to the person that answered the call that I had previously sent in an online request with no response to wanting to set up a consultation. There was no apology on my experience and the only response was when do you want to come. I was taken aback because normally a business would like to know what is the consultation for and then would explain their consultation process. I didn’t get any of this and wasn’t even told if there was a fee associated with the consultation. I got nothing accept feeling like I was being a bother. I have been coming to Essential Aesthetics for a year now. I moved to Charlotte from New Orleans and I was very hesitant about trying a new laser spa. My consultation with Lori was amazing. She made me feel very comfortable and answered all of my questions. As an African American woman a lot of laser places don’t cater to my skin type. Essential Aesthetics definitely does! For 20 plus years I have suffered with Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS), therefore I have a lot of scar tissue and ingrown hairs. Since starting my laser journey my I don’t get ingrown hairs anymore. My laser technician Faith is spectacular!!! She is so genuine and passionate about what she does. If I have questions or concerns she has no problem answering them.
