Beautifully maintained and thoughtfully created studio in Wellesley. Just started going to this studio a few weeks ago and I am in LOVE.
Two entrances with ample parking on street and a lot to the rear of the facility. You're welcomed by their friendly staff and upon check in they remind you the spot you've reserved. Generously sized free lockers ( USB charger available in cubbie and you can change the locking code) available to hold your gear in class. I have a large backpack and that plus my winter gear fits snug! Free shoe rentals available for no additional charge as well. Check for different locations schedules as not all classes are offered in each location; BOS has hot ride. They have an app that functions well, allows you to reserve a class and assign a spot.
So far I've taken the following classes: -R/DE -Hip hop R/DE -Train
So for the ride and train you head into separate rooms but the theme is the same... dark room dimly lit with led light mirrors that change their hue and glow with the intensity and songs throughout class.
Expect a high intensity, upbeat dance work out party that provides a full body challenging workout for all levels.
They newly added the Train X class which has been described as using a strength and conditioning class / half "on-beat" , half "off-beat" aka half HIIT, slower movements but heavier weights.
So far I'm finished on my first time specials but ask about deals if you're a fitness instructor, student, or veteran as well as first timer. Credits work for all studios so you can swap locations if needed. Beautiful facilities, upbeat and intense instructors who weave intention and mindfulness throughout the practice. Have genuinely enjoyed my few classes and look forward to...
Read moreMy first ever spinning class was at B/Spoke and it got me hooked! The instructors are all so motivated and energetic, and you leave class feeling awesome. They support you (by name!) throughout the class and are always open to questions or suggestions, and are happy to see you when you return to their classes–or are there for the first time! They remind you of the super cool kids in high school that you were in awe of, and who turned out to also be lovely and kind people.
The desk staff are all really friendly and helpful–even before a 6 a.m. class–and they keep the studios spotless and inviting. The locker rooms are also super clean, and the showers are plentiful and usually not crowded at all. They have all the towels and products you need, plus earplugs, hair ties, and shoe rentals. Also, there are plenty of keyless lockers and water refilling stations.
I like the fact that they are so welcoming to folks of all ages and fitness levels-no judgement here! You can keep up with the class, or go at your own pace. I’ve taken classes at all 4 locations and always feel comfortable and happy to be there.
It’s really easy to book classes, get information on their website or app, and they offer a variety of discounts and often have sales on memberships and packages. So…no excuses! Go check out your nearest B/Spoke, and you’ll be...
Read moreIntense! Intense!! Intense!!! Like 2 or 3 classes in one. Would give 6 stars if I could! I've only done one ride, but B/SPOKE checked off all the boxes and I'm still filled with its energy the next day!! If you are wanting and willing to push yourself to your limit and beyond, this is the place for you!!!
Quote during last quarter of that first ride last night: "I really enjoy and own the responsibility of being able to reach such a big group of ppl every day. To be able to positively impact your lives. ALL of YOU can make an impact too. Inspire those next to you with your ride, with your energy, right here, right now!!!!" -Aly.
So not only was I motivated to finish the class pedaling harder and faster, I left there thinking... When pushing your body and mind to its limit, there is a vulnerability that allows us to open our inner strength. It's not important what our individual limit is. But in group cycling, it is paramount that whoever is orchestrating our collective push be acutely aware, respectful, and inspired by both our strength, and the resulting vulnerability. That respect gives an instructor the license to launch us into the stratosphere... Aly had us all pedaling to the moon with her energy and her words...
