I really enjoy the fact that the showers are clean and accessible to anyone there for like a buck. You cash your bill in for I believe two tokens that are only good for the showers at this park. Each token gives you 3 minutes of water time in the showers. I like the fact that my ex-girl and I were homeless and we'd go here to bathe daily. And on the days where we were broke and could only get a couple tokens we'd just sneak into, she came into the men's shower because we figured a man would have less likelihood of snitching us out if he found a girl inside the men's bathroom over a girl finding a guy in the female restrooms, the showers right after I entered the men's side entrance and we were able to bathe in the same shower at the same time together and we could both bathe that way. The big complaint I have about this park is the Deputy Do-Right park rangers that have nothing better to do than harass the visitors because I had a trespassing note from there for 6 months(illegally camping at their sites in the Squilchuk campgrounds since we were homeless) and not knowing they were both Confluence owned parks I got taken to jail immediately once they saw me as I was purchasing tokens for the shower. It ended up costing me $500 for my bond to get out. I borrowed that from my father pretty easily and he should have gotten it right back once I appeared on court for the charge except a transgender named Alaina that I thought was a friend of mine ended up making the payment with my father's money he sent for just that but it was wrote up in her name so she got it paid back to her and then lied and said she never received the bond money back. So now my father doesn't believe my story and really doesn't trust me at all now. (Not like he did much before all that...
Read moreThis is a tricky park to find. It is located in the city of Wenatchee on the Columbia River. You must make several turns in an industrial area and some of the turns are not marked with signs. Google Maps did a good job getting us to this park. The park has green grass and big shade trees. Nice size spaces with full hookup but no privacy. We self registered and did not see any park staff during our stay. Play ground located in the campground as well as in the day use area. The Huron Nature area is next door to the park and there is a trail and bridge connecting it to the campground area. Lots of lookouts with benches for bird viewing along trail from campground to beach area. It is a bit of a walk to get to the beach. The park and beach were clean and there are paved trails. We did not hear traffic from the campground. It was quiet...
Read moreCame here as part of a large company camp out event. We had one of the two group sites and it was excellent. Close enough to the group restroom & shower complex to make it really convenient without listening to flushing toilets all night. Group site #2 had a nice large grassy area with decent shade trees to pitch tents. Power outlets in the group picnic shelter, a large portable charcoal grill, firepit, water spigots, and we had the group site parking area all to ourselves so folks could bring RVs and boats. It was a quick walk to the wonderful swimming beach and a play area was located close by (but no shade so beware of hot play equipment.) Wonderful time here and the weather...
