This was our third time going there...first two were great but not so this trip. Wife had Teriyaki Shrimp which she always gets and the shrimp were way over cooked....so hard and tough they were nearly inedible. Prior orders of that were wonderful. I had Mongolian Beef ordered non spicy for the first time there and it was so spicy hot I couldn't eat it...made do with the salad, rice and spring roll. When the server finally came back and asked how it was, I explained our concerns and was met with a rather dismissive "Sorry" and was asked if I wanted to take it home..... after letting them know I couldn't eat it! No other interaction or attempt to make it right or adjustment....nothing.....just "Sorry". With the lack of decent Asian food in the area we had high hopes for Love Sushi, but probably won't return...$40 for something you can't eat is a bit much.
Update: I reached out to the manager as he indicated I should. His explanation of the issues he faced with a new server and being Friday make sense. To his credit, the fact that he reached out to me in the first place is a real positive indication he cares and wants to make it right. I gratefully accepted his offer to cover a future meal. Customer service like this in todays' market is glaringly absent and I heartily recommend Love Sushi and thank Calvin for his response. This is definitely a JOB WELL DONE on his part....other managers in the area could take note and learn from his example....Thank You Calvin....Regards.
4-6-2024 Update: Used the gift card the manager, Calvin, had previously given us and had an entirely different experience. Tried 5 different items fully intending to take home left overs....all were EXCELLENT! The sushi is super...so fresh and beautifully presented... and the other regular menu dishes we had were above expectations.....so happy things worked out...we REALLY wanted to "love" this place as good Asian food is difficult to find in this area. Thank You Calvin and staff, for the positive dining experience....we'll definitely...
Read moreAfter living in the area for 13yrs we’ve never found a restaurant that is our “go-to”. Other restaurants here with similar cuisine seem to drown their dishes in oil and the veggies are always overcooked. Every time we decide to give them another try we’re disappointed again. We were curious about Love Sushi since they’re fairly new to town and I’m so happy about it that I’m writing my first restaurant review in several years because they deserve all 5 stars! The customer service was outstanding. The gentleman host was so kind and hospitable. We went at lunch time and got a $5 spicy salmon roll and the Rice Noodle with chicken. We were in shock! That cheap $5 roll was one of the best we’ve ever had!! My daughter is a sushi snob and she was so impressed she actually went back again today! And this time she brought home the pad Thai and with both of these entrees we’ve had now we were surprised at how heavy the takeout box was! We easily shared it and had a little left over. Both of these dishes had perfect flavor, plenty of meat and perfectly cooked veggies. I just cannot give a higher recommendation for this place and I hope they stay here forever! And keep their prices like that. They have better quality, quantity and value than any of their...
Read moreThis was my first time eating inside the restaurant. It was such a homey feel. Our waiter was super kind and professional and very attentive to what was going on around him. I feel terrible I didn’t get his name. I ordered the pad Thai and my boyfriend ordered the teriyaki beef. And it was some of the BEST food we ever had. The meat cuts were perfectly thin and nicely cooked. I could have just asked for a bowl of their teriyaki sauce and ate it with spoon. My pad Thai was sooooo yummy the noodles were perfectly cooked and just the right amount of protein and sauce. The environment was amazing and we watched pawn stars while we ate. We are counting down the days to when we can go back and eat with the rare spare time we have. For two drinks and two entrées we spent $45. Which honestly felt like like A crime for the quality, taste...
