I have only been into this location 1 time, but I was so impressed and so grateful for the good experience that Ive gotta tell the world about it! I tried about a year ago to get into mountain biking I know virtually NOTHING about mountain biking but it seems like a fantastic outdoor hobby that sounds so good for me and my wife to spend time together, and the place I went to then was not very “rookie” friendly and I have been to a few other places kinda trying to learn more about how to get into it and also find a good beginner bicycle for myself, and my experience was always about the same not the worst but just a tad judge-mental and no one ever really told me about mountain biking and how to get into it and why this bike is good VS that one for a extremely novice mountain biker like myself.. and in addition to that the areas I went to about a year ago were still struggling with the supply issues and recovering from Covid.. but let’s fast forward to today, I went in here for the first time trying to retry getting into this, and Anya (I believe that’s how you spell her name) she was absolutely one of thee best sales representatives I’ve ever seen, I told her I know virtually nothing, but here’s what I plan on doing with the bike and I want something that’s budget friendly because I didn’t want to spend thousands of dollars as a novice and if I did enjoy it that much then I’d invest more later into mountain biking, and she knew the bikes right of the top of her head really well, found bikes that actually suited my needs, versus at other places with the same basic explanation and budget I was looking for none of them suggested a bike that actually seemed to work for me and my needs.. but this location almost instantly showed me 3 bikes that fit what I needed almost perfectly and then a few others that were actually very good and close to what I was hoping for but not quite there but every one was within the info I gave, and all were low cost about as low as it goes for this sorta thing anyway, I didn’t say exactly how much I was willing to spend and I haven’t purchased anything yet but she showed me some of the more expensive options still very cheap compared to others but definitely was a tad out of the budget entry level price depending who you ask.. but the way she worded that “these bikes are more expensive and probably aren’t budget friendly” was so well done, it was done in a way that didn’t feel pushy for it, expressed it’s a little bit of a stretch for what I implied my budget was, but also didn’t discourage me or influence me to get it or not to get it.. usually with my experiences with other sales representatives elsewhere they would handle that kinda situation and either make me feel pushed into it.. and also make me feel like they’re saying that “I’m too poor to afford that” or just leaves it with a slightly uneasy feeling like they didn’t have my best interest in mind or didn’t take me seriously.. and to touch a tad on the other criteria I gave of “I’m novice and know nothing” Anya was so helpful for someone like myself, and helped teach me the differences and the reason why the bikes she showed me would fit what I’m planning on doing, and by doing so quickly educated me all I needed to know about the bikes she’s showing and why she thinks they’d work for me which by contrast naturally explains why the other bikes that aren’t mentioned wouldn’t quite fit for my needs and I’m sure she would of been happy to of talked about the other bikes not mentioned, but the fact she knew so much and explained the “why” behind the recommendations helped me make a educated decision and me made me feel confident that if I did take one of her recommendations I wouldn’t be disappointed and am truly getting exactly what I’m needing for my needs.. anyways if you made it this far I appreciate you reading but to sum it up.. this is a no brainer 5 star review I absolutely am happy with my experience, and I would absolutely recommend them for going above and beyond, being knowledgeable, and great...
Read moreThe good: Very knowledgeable about snowboarding equipment, some of the guys actually snowboard. Great selection of high quality merchandise, nice clean store, very friendly staff. Prices are reasonable, but not excellent. Store employees have offered to stay past closing time to help me out and seemed like they generally care.
The not so great: Several people who work here were unable to tell me what the local favorite road riding routes were. There are times when I felt it was more like a retail store than a place where there is a strong biking culture/community. It's inexcusable for someone who works at a shop to not know where to use the merchandise. Maybe I got the new guys when I...
Read moreI brought in two snowboards to have one of them tuned and waxed. Employee looked over both boards and insisted on the better of the two boards. I left the board with him and got a call back a week later that "the board is done and ready to be picked up. When I come the next day to pick it up he tells me that the board is beyond repair, but he'd wave the $50.00 "service fee" if I bought a new board from him. He then shows me how the bottom p-tex layer is peeling away from the board. I wish I had taken a better look at the base before dropping it off, but I am 90% sure it was not that way when I dropped it off.. would not recommend having equipment...
