Cermak Fresh Market — Attraction in West Chicago Township

This is a great place to shop for groceries. They have a great variety of products and everything is always fresh! My husband is vegan, so this is where I always buy his soy products. I love the salsa selection! They have homemade salsas of all kinds, from mild to super spicy! Our favorite is the Chile de arbol one! Other cermak produce super markets do not have such big selection with guacamole as well! Their meat is also always fresh and I love that they prepack some meat so it's easier for the shopper and you won't have to wait in line for the butcher. The produce and the overall shopping experience is good. The only problem is the staff, when you're just looking around they look at you like you're going to steal something the men who put produce away are fine but sometimes they just stand around in the aisles and talk to each other. The man who is in charge of the meat also walks around and looks at you when you're just regularly shopping. Also the cashears think they're in charge of the entire store and make weird comments about the customers and sometimes they do it in front of the actual customers. Staff attentive, they have large options for produce, usually it's all good but not always. Nice options in the butcher shop and deli. They refuse to pack your bag if you bring a recyclable bag, they allege it's for COVID safety, but people are not wearing masks. Other stores never stopped packing recyclable bags.
