1 star for food 3 star for service 2 star for pricing 3 star for ambiance This location once had the best Mexican tacos in all of Little Village. It is so disappointing how horrible the food is here. The steak tacos lacked any seasoning and tasted of cheap meat. The Al Pastor tacos were overly sweetened and had zero taste to pork. The beans tasted straight out of a can and reheated several times. The rice lacked any seasoning and the yellow color seem to have been more dye that flavor. The red hot sauce was overly watered down on the upside the green sauce was not. The price of the food should be slashed in half for the quality of food that is coming out of this restaurant. As for service, it was friendly whenever we actually saw the waiter. The place was empty and still took 5 minutes to even take our drink orders. The only thing going for this place is that looks clean and has a nice view of the Village Arch. I would save your money and go anywhere but here. This once great place sadly has lost its magic and with it my service. I hope this once great place comes back to its glory days since it once was a staple to Little Village.

Please do not fool yourself with this restaurant The people inside say the food is so good and you see people waiting in line to get into his restaurant. Please do not get fooled by this restaurant. this restaurant has the worst food in America we were all in a table of seven. None of us could eat a single piece of steak. The steak was gray and rotten and it tasted like blood. Please do not come here please you’re better off at somewhere else spending your money they charge us $213 for an eaten food, please do not come here and save yourself some time we were here as visitors and we were treated horribly, and as well as our waitress knew the food was rotted, because she straight up asked me what what I didn’t like about the meat, and she had a guilty face on her look please do not come here at all do not be fooled by the ambient, the people who are waiting telling the food is amazing. Nothing is good. Not even the guacamole. The meat looked like used sandals i’m not even sure if it was beef it looked like they used horse meat.

The food was fantastic. I had a burrito. Guacamole and chips. Refried beans on the side. I like to dip in the beans. Flavor was on point. Salsa was not too spicy on the table. We also got tacos and a carne asada plate. They serve beer if you're interested in that with your meal. The service was fine. Waitress very patient. Somewhere, we got a waiter instead. He was polite but I Don't think his English was Bueno. Not a crime. But we had to wait a while for la cuenta. I'm blaming it on the language barrier. The decor was simple. Fast food ish but clearly a family environment. Clean. Room for plenty of patrons to dine comfortably. If you like soccer, futbol was on the TV. None of our party spoke Spanish, but we were treated nicely. I would go here again for dinner. No question.

Quick summary in second to last sentence

My favorite thing about this place is the huge container of curtido they place on your table, regardless of how many people are in your group (If you are solo- you STILL get the huge container). I really like pickled cauliflower (only way I'll eat it)-and there's enough in the container that if for some ridiculous reason you ate nothing but that, you probably still wouldn't finish it!

(Bonus points: only taco place I know of with a drive thru!)

These probably aren't quite like tacos from other places where they grill up a piece of fresh skirt steak and chop it to order for your taco. But they are also NOTHING like tacos from other places that use meat that is either dry or overly greasy, full of gristle, has a tough or rubbery texture, might even taste stale/old, etc. I'm not exactly sure how these tacos are made, but they seem like they might use their own pre-packaged but QUALITY meat (I'm only talking about the bistec/carne asada here, as that's what I usually have. The cecina tacos I've gotten in the past are actually a really nice piece of cecina, with visible muscle strands).

The cilantro and onion are always super fresh-no black spots on the cilantro, no weird looking/discolored pieces of onion, and they both have that nice fresh flavor and texture.

The salsas taste fresh and are packed with flavor without being overly spicy, and the waters are sweet and flavorful without tasting like liquid diabetes. If you like grilled knob onions or jalapeños, do yourself a favor-go ahead and order a basket of either.

Not only do you get an inexpensive taco that tastes NOTHING like a cheap taco, but you get the feeling that these guys really care about what their customers are putting into their body. I've been coming here for several years (perhaps over a decade even), and they've managed to remain consistent every single time.

At under $2 for a great tasting (and not ridiculous portion) taco, green and red salsas that are both on point, waters that taste second to none, grilled knob onions/jalapeños by the basket, plenty of free parking in their lot, a drive thru, ample (and I mean AMPLE) seating that pretty much guarantees there will never be a wait, and of course my favorite: the HUGE container of curtido you are served as soon as you sit down-this place will leave you satisfied with your meal and experience.

So come on in and see why there are now multiple comales...

If you come to Little village don't go there unless you're drunk at 1 or 2 in the morning before they close because it's not what it used to be when the old owner used to greet you at the door at the original location on Kedzie and 26th where the MetroPCS is now great memories great food could customer service everything was to par now the sons and daughters took over they're making it into some kind of Mexican McDonald's or something the home feeling are going to eat there's gone it's been gone for years it's one of the worst taco places to go to to eat the experience is always bad The waitresses don't greet you well it's like they feel like it's an honor for you to go there or something do you ask for Chiles en vinagre... And they want to charge you for everything for this for that extra this extra that I understand sometimes to charge you for some things you know have no problem for pain but the way they talk to you it's not the place I used to go when I was a kid and I'm sure the original owner would hate this place also it's not what he envisioned I doubt it very much hope the close this place on top of that I've even seen them without knowing minors drink in there from their own liquor they so and that's very unfortunate that they're not on top of things even on that...!!! Worst place in Little village don't go there like I said unless you're drunk I want a quick taco just to take away a little bit of hunger and even then you won't enjoy it!!! And I'm from Little village so what does...

AMAZING! For someone to change a one star review into a 5 star review, that takes talent. I truly appreciate Larry Gonzalez, Los Comales GM, for having reached out to me and not only acknowledge but also understanding where I was coming from. Outstanding customer service skills. Thank you for listening to your customers Larry.

I Ordered $43 of food, and asked for limes with the tacos (Which is a very normal condiment). The limes did not come with the food and when I called they told me that it didn't matter that my order was $43, but because I did not pay the additional 30 cents they did not send the limes. AT THE VERY LEAST they could have called me and I would have called me and I would have made the 30 cent payment over the phone, since it seems like they are in so much need. But not even a phone call, I did not know about this unit I called them. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN. Such a terrible way of...
