Wonderful bank when manager and certain people are there. I came in on a Thursday to use coin machine and upon entering the vibe was different than other days. Some days I enter they have light music on, Iâm greeted when I enter and asked what I need help with that day by a lady behind her desk. But on this particular day, the managers office had its lights off like he wasnât there. It was quiet and all workers looked bored. I was never greeted and just standing there. I came to use the coin machine and it had a sign to wait for assistance. So Iâm standing there and no one ever asked if I needed help. A security guard came and removed the sign and I proceeded to use the machine. I already found it appalling that a security guard was helping me instead of an actual banker!!! I then get to the teller counter to give my receipt đ§Ÿ from the coin machine to receive my cash. The banker didnât even make eye contact with me or greet me. She stood behind her screen and asked for my name. I told her I didnât have an account with the bank because I thought she was trying to look up my account or something. She proceeds to talk rudely saying SHE STILL NEEDS MY NAME FOR THE SYSTEM and it doesnât matter if I had an account or not. She said it with this attitude like I was ruining her day. She never kindly explain that it was alright to not have account OR EVEN OFFER ME IF I WANTED TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT. She answered me so rude and wouldnât even acknowledge or look at me. She talked to me like I was piece of shit and she hates her damn job. I donât understand people who work with customers and donât have proper training or experience speaking to people. I received my cash and walked out not happy with my experience.
So at this branch it depends whoâs inside. I ended up finding out that tellers name was Vanessa. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE with her and donât recommend. I have had Juan as a teller before and heâs okay, kinda quiet and average. The teller next to him was Claudia and she was eating while working. Which I thought was unprofessional and lazy. Bad look for the branch. She was just laughing, joking and gossiping with the security lady and not even greeting people as they walked in. I donât know if the tellers just act different because the manager wasnât there because again, when certain people are there the vibe is pleasant. The lady behind her desk greets me and when the manager is there the employees seem more on it.
I came in once to talk to a banker about opening a savings account and I got Teresa. Sheâs the one that usually greets me if sheâs there. I didnât end up not opening that day as I didnât have the opening funds with me to open it. But she was nice and helpful and gave me her business card, very professional lady. This branch does wonderful things for holidays. For Halloween they hand out candy and cinco de mayo they had food for any customers who came in.    Read moreI opened an account with Wintrust in mid July 2022 because I was recommended by a friend. Wintrust had the $300 sign-on bonus going at the time and we were told we would be eligible. I had to have $500 deposited for 3 months straight to receive the $300. Come November, I realized I still hadnât received the $300 so I called the Little Village location and asked to speak with the bank rep who assisted me back in July. I was told the gentleman who helped me open my account was âgone indefinitelyâ by the manager. The manager said I should have called in October, at the 3 month mark, to raise this issue. I donât see why my calling on November 1st is an issue, but anyway⊠The manager went on to tell me that I didnât qualify for the $300 because I didnât have the full $500 deposited for the month of July. Mind you, I opened my account in mid July. This was not explained or even mentioned to me when I opened my account. I was told $500 deposited monthly for 3 months straight. There was no mention of any exceptions or anything of the sort. All of this was explained to the manager. The manager stated she would look into this and call me back. Itâs been 2 months and I still havenât received a call. I tried calling and getting in touch with the manager to see what was going on. I was put on hold for a good 20 minutes. I finally hung up because it was obvious to me no one was going to take my call. More obvious to me was the utter disregard and lack of respect and good customer service. I went to a different Wintrust location and was told the same thing I was told from the get-go: $500 deposited for 3 months straight. The first month is counted 30 days from the day the account was opened, meaning I should have received the $300 in mid October. I donât appreciate the runaround and the incompetence of the manager at the Little Village location. If I truly wasnât eligible, fine. I accept. No questions asked. No complaints. But I was eligible and the fact that the manager didnât take my inquiry seriously and didnât give it the attention and priority it required is unacceptable. And I spoke to the manager at Sauganash Village which they reached out to me to ask me to send them a copy of my receipt when I sent them the copy of the receipt they did not reply back to me or call me back and to top it off when I spoke to them on Monday morning they said that they will escalate the situation and fix the problem before the end of the day which was not true here it is Wednesday the 12th 2022 and I still do not have my funds available in my checking account which was a cash deposit this is unacceptable and the other people that I spoke to on the phone seem like they did not care about the situation I have bills that are automatic withdraws from my account I work two jobs just to keep up with my bills I have eight kids so you can just imagine how tight money is for something like this to happen and then they treat it like itâs no big deal hopefully this does not happen to no one else I will be leaving this establishment in opening up a new account somewhere else this is not the only problem Iâve had with Wintrust Iâve had a lot of rude bank Teller and etc. over the years and to top it off theyâre ATMs are outdated seems like theyâre not putting no money in their...
