Of all the GameStop stores that I frequent in the metro, Jordan Creek is without a doubt the absolute best run of them all. On a 10 point scale, Merle Hay would land a solid -1, Southside a respectable 5.5, and Jordan Creek a 10 every single day. Not only is it always stocked with a nice selection of organized and consistently priced collectibles and games, but the staff is hands down the best. They all know their stuff, are always friendly and fun to interact with, and never generically respond to questions but instead use their knowledge and resources to provide detailed and helpful info. I pre-order and buy so much merchandise because they make it easy. With the dramatically inconsistent store-to-store experience I get with GameStop, all I know is the staff at Jordan Creek better be the best paid of them all because it is truly the only store that consistently represents the GameStop brand in the exceptional manner I would imagine corporate would want their customers to experience. If not for this store (and I am incredibly serious when I say this) I would have given up on GameStop several years ago. Most locations are equivalent to Kmart or Sears (which unsurprisingly are nothing more than a page in retail history books) while this one is clean, organized, and staffed at a quality more in line with a nice Target (yeah... I'm sticking with retail success/failure stories to illustrate how I feel about GameStop these days as a customer). I hope GameStop will take their operations more seriously and provide a more consistent experience for customers. Of course, the easiest way to achieve this consistency would be to make the JC store as crappy as the rest but my hope is that they will raise the quality of all other stores to match JC. Luckily for me, the JC location is closest to my house so 90%+ of my purchases are made there. If not for this well run store, GameStop would be in my mind no different than Blockbuster (a story about the sad downfall of a once great retailer as a direct result of poor corporate leadership with a lack of care for consistent retail...
Read moreI went to this location to buy a ps5. I was then asked if I needed games, headset, controllers ect (all of which I've already purchased and told both the gentleman and gal behind the counter) so I said no but thank you. Between the 2 of them the proceeded to ask me a total of 3 times ( which began to come off very rude) if I was sure I didn't want any games ect. After the second time I was rather annoyed and was asked yet again. I was then asked to purchase the extended warranty which I declined because it has a manufactures warranty. They then explained why I still needed theirs and when I turned it down BOTH of the employees acted annoyed they both look at eachother and then as the gal turned she rolled her eyes at me. I had already spent 530.00 and was nothing short of being harassed to purchase more items. They were rude and made me completely uncomfortable! I will NEVER RETURN TO ANY OF YOUR STORES...
Read morei went in yesterday to purchase a funko pop as a christmas gift since it is that time of year. when i asked the cashier who was helping me, a woman, the question of âwhatâs their return policy?â, she decided to give me an offensive look while she laughed and said âwhy, do you plan on returning it?â. i said âwell of course it is an option, it is a christmas giftâ because we can never know how gifts will plan out and she proceeded to say âseven days with the receipt and unopenedâ still with an offensive look on her face. i do not understand how a simple question can be so difficult for individuals to answer, no customer should be spoken in that tone especially by an employee who is working in a mall gamestop!
SIDE NOTE: i did find the name on the receipt of my cashier and her...
