Ate here about 3-4 times now. This is a fusion place, yet it hits the cravings just right. Dishes are Vietnamese and you can tell when you try it. However, it’s minor tweaks to the dish in some way. The place is kind of fancy looking and staff were nice and welcoming. Food was made with LOVE btw.
We had the spring roll platter and that was mix of various spring rolls made with different meats/veggies. Tofu, grilled pork, pork belly and shrimp, nem nuong, etc etc. just nice to have various type of spring rolls for others to try that has only ever had shrimp only. Hot pepper and Fish sauce & peanut sauce as dippings. Love they do both sauces.
The waygu pho. There was plenty of meat, noodles were cooked right. Broth was more herby and light, while beef broth still there. It tastes great! I’d kind of say more of a mix of southern and northern viet pho. Major differences in both regions of pho. I don’t know how else to describe it. Waygu or meat in it was good as well. Just a must try to understand.
Spicy Noodle soup. This does hit the craving for spicy noodle soup if you were to try it. When it comes out, you would find it to be odd cause broth looks off. You add the chili in there since they give it to you on the side. You do NEED to add it all in for the actual taste of the spiciness and then it will be how the dish is suppose to be. It’s different as it doesn’t include the pork hock or pork blood. It does however do pork like meat balls. Unsure for the English translation for it. But, I have seen/eaten those pork meat balls in this dish at home before so it’s a different take.
Everything is made the same with a minor tweak/revision. Hence, the fusion. There are different ways to make the dishes and I had pho like this before and the spicy noodle soup hits just the right spot for it. It is a different take is all. Yet, it is very homey. I would say it is worth trying if you haven’t had it. I would...
Read moreHusband and I were out shopping for jeans and while pondering our options for dinner. I wanted Pho, husband wanted tasty tacos. So we compromised and got pho. We decided to try a new location as our normal spot is in the drake area (All pho you, also very good) and we were out in west des movies, stopped by Vietopia in front of Jordan creek mall. We were promptly greeted and seated by Ryan who was our server for the duration of our meal as well. He was so kind and answered every question I had. He made some small talk throughout our meal but he never hovered which we appreciated. We both wanted spring rolls and pho so unfortunately I can only review those items but O M G. it was SO good. The brisket was tender and the broth was perfect. They don’t leave the sauces on the table so if you like a lot of hoisin you may have to ask for extra but knowing how grubby people can be, I prefer it the way they do it. As far as drinks, we weren’t really feeling like getting crunk on a Wednesday so I tried the Korean Hot tea (I forgot what the actual name is for it. You can get it iced too) it was okay, I like my tea a little sweeter but I’m happy I tried it. The milkis on the other hand??? The original is the flavor we tried and it was SO good. Husband and I compared it to if a Squirt and Sprite got mixed. Ryan said they like to have a little more fun on Fridays so we will definitely be back! Excited to try more...
Read moreMy wife and I had an amazing dinner at Vietopia Asian Fusion! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations.
I ordered the Hong Kong Garlic Noodles, which were perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The garlic was fragrant without being overpowering, the noodles had just the right bite, and the shrimp were tender and juicy. Definitely one of the best noodle dishes I’ve had in a long time.
My wife had the Seafood Rice Noodles, and she loved how fresh and well-seasoned everything was. The seafood was generous in portion and tasted incredibly fresh, pairing beautifully with the savory noodles.
We also shared the Baked Crab Casserole with Cream Cheese, and wow—this dish was rich, creamy, and indulgent. The crab meat blended with the cream cheese created the perfect comfort bite, and it paired really well with our mains.
On top of the fantastic food, the service was attentive and welcoming, and the atmosphere made for a relaxing dinner. Vietopia has a wonderful balance of authentic flavors with a modern twist, making it a true gem for anyone who loves Asian fusion.
Highly recommend checking them out if you’re...
