CityLight Church — Attraction in West Falls Church

It has been a journey to get here but I finally found my Home Church. I've attended Ciudad Luz, City Light's Spanish Service, for 3 years and have seen immense growth because of the incredible outreach that City Light does in the community. I grew up in the Falls Church area and this church is amazing with the outreach and activities that they do for the local community. I started going to City Light back in February 2024 and have not wanted to look anywhere else for a church. It did take me a while to settle in since I am very introverted but once I did, the community, the church, the worship, the sermon, and the pastors were life changing. Highly recommend for anyone to visit. They have coffee in the mornings and evenings (For the Spanish Service) which is always amazing to have! They also have Young Adults on Tuesday nights, Spanish Bible Study/Young Adults on Wednesday nights, Restore, which is prayer/worship, on Thursday nights, and also Lighthouses which are basically at home bible studies/groups. Great worship, very good teaching, great outreach to the community, not very welcoming to visitors. We attended here 3 Sundays and a mid-week. The worship was an excellent mix of old and new. The teaching is contemporary, bible- based, and practical. They seem to have a good kids ministry. However, no one ever initiated a conversation with us, and we never got follow up emails. Llevo algunos meses asistiendo a esta iglesia y todo es muy lindo. Hay servicios tanto en español como en inglés, todo está limpio y muy bien organizado. Lo más hermoso es que no juzgan a nadie por ningún motivo: ¡todos son bienvenidos!

Se siente el trabajo que Jesús ha hecho en cada uno de los miembros; es un lugar lleno de paz, amor y presencia de Dios. La prédica siempre está basada en la Biblia, lo cual me encanta.

Los miércoles a las 7:00 p.m. hay estudio bíblico en español, y los martes en inglés. Es un excelente lugar para hacer amistades sinceras que estén en el mismo camino espiritual que tú. ¡De verdad, todos son bienvenidos!

I’ve been attending this church for a few months now and it’s truly a beautiful place. There are services in both Spanish and English, and everything is clean and well organized. One of the things I love most is that no one is judged for any reason — everyone is welcome!

You can truly feel the work Jesus has done in each of the members. It’s a place full of peace, love, and the presence of God. The preaching is always Bible-based, which I really appreciate.
