Last weekend we visited Orange Reservoir Loop after seeing it in a reel, and it did not disappoint! It’s about a 30-minute drive from our place, and we arrived around 11am and luckily, we found parking right away. The loop itself is a 1.8-mile paved walking path around the reservoir. It’s beautiful, peaceful, and scenic, with gentle grades that make it accessible for most strollers and mobility devices. The park is very clean, with plenty of trash bins, free poop bags for dogs, and lots of benches to rest along the way. You can also rent swan boats for a fee if you want to enjoy the water. We brought our fur daughter along, and she loved it too! This place is definitely going to be one of our go-to spot, it’s well worth the 30-minute drive. And as a bonus, don’t forget to stop by McLoone’s Boathouse afterward for a meal you can even bring your furry...

Beautiful and peaceful spot for a walk or family outing! Orange Reservoir is a hidden gem in Essex County. The loop around the water is perfect for walking, jogging, biking, or just enjoying a relaxed stroll with a view. The path is wide, well-paved, and stroller-friendly, making it great for families with kids.

There are benches along the way, spots to stop and enjoy the scenery, and even paddle boats if you want to get out on the water. The area feels very safe and clean, with lots of greenery and wildlife around — we saw ducks and even turtles!

It’s especially beautiful in the early morning or at sunset. Definitely a favorite place to unwind and connect with nature, just a short drive...

We passed by the county park and came across this reservoir on a sunny day. This reservoir is well maintained with concrete paved roads all the way around. There were lots of people riding duck boats and children riding the train from the zoo. The area is open to fishing as well. The access roads to South Mountains were not too steep and are...
