Update 1-23-2023. Continued big changes and improvements since new manager. Amber and now Jo, came in and did a 360 here. They listen to us and actually care about our wellbeing and happiness. Someone was hired to deliver packages to our door (and if not he makes sure they’re at least in the right mail rooms). The environment has completely changed with positivity. Elevators all working. Steam room and common areas cleaned regularly. My stove top was completely replaced for a small crack I kept complaining about. However, still issues with Latch app opening doors, all the glass cracks in pool/gym are still not fixed, and the outdoor furniture is still extremely dirty and gross. The Cove club is now opened which makes for amazing community morale and interactions. In addition, the air quality in our unit has turned horrible since about 3w (I think since person moved in above us and the dust and construction through vents has been destroying our health and breathing - however, I’ll be going to the office to notify and it’s such an amazing feeling knowing Jo is so welcoming to hear any of our concerns. I just want to continue to throw a huge shout out to the new managers and say thank you so much!!! I still just wish we had a real concierge and better security (which I know is in the works with Latch); Even the trailer homes around here have gated communities. The highlight above everything and anything is the manatee family that moved into our Bay for the season.
Update 12-15-23: Big changes have been happening. In just a week of having a new office manager, things have already started turning around and we are being heard. Amber has done more in a week than the previous mgr did in 4 months. I look forward to seeing the improvements to make this already beautiful place be above the top.
My boyfriend and I came to look at the building in June and moved in August 26 (almost 2 months now) and living here was amazing for about 5 days. When we came to visit in June, one of the elevators was down (which, broken elevators was the #1 reason I left my condo in Miami), but we were told it would be fixed any day. We moved in, still broken, today, Oct 17 - still broken (although we finally saw someone working on it - had 1 elevator working all day - & then they left & it’s still broken). We learned the mgmt office never paid for inspection and thus why it’s not being fixed, spite numerous emails to residents since April that it would “be fixed shortly” but never disclosed they just didn’t pay (residents found this out by calling the city). In a matter of 2M, I’ve seen this property go down hill to a state worse than my 2009 condo (when this just opened in Mar).Dust and sediment falls through the vents from construction, the vents are stacked with debris and were never cleaned (and mgmt expects you to pay for your own duct cleaner if you want any quality of clean air), the pool furniture is absolutely disgusting with stains, broken lights & furniture (tables), windows around the pool are shattered (and have been for months without fixing), the pool floor is always dirty spite seeing a cleaner here multiple times, my toilets need to be flushed 4x (not an exaggeration) to get everything down and maintenance visited and advised there is nothing that can be done. There is no security: I’ve ran into people in elevators on over 3 occasions to find out they aren’t even residents and are just “looking. There are about 10 guest parking spots with no public parking anywhere near the vacinity, yet Safe Harbor has tons of parking (which we cannot use or “we will be towed within 5 minutes”), including 10 spots in OUR GARAGE!!!!! The floors are insanely cheap that scratch with the slightest touch and are rippling in many spots. However, the sunrise, views, location, smell of common areas, fish in the bay, (brand new) appliances (Samsung everything that can be controlled from an app on your phone), gym facilities, steam room, sauna, movie theater, and residents, have...
Read moreDo not be misled by the nice view of the amenities when you tour the property! This is just a façade to drag you into the Icon trap. The poor management here undermines any positive aspect you might possibly find.
To give a fresh example of how tenants paying over $4k/month are treated, I’m attaching the latest communication received this week: they will begin issuing violation fines even for incidents completely beyond residents’ control (e.g., a flat tire in the garage—where nails are scattered everywhere). Resident cars will also continue to be towed (yes, this already happens). What kind of property chooses to spend money on a vendor whose main job is to punish its residents? What kind of customer care is that? And to “address” the lack of guest parking, they’ve decided not to fix the problem but to charge guests instead. Imagine inviting someone to your home, only for them to pay just to park! Apparently, that’s how Icon Marina Village defines “luxury living.”
Meanwhile, most of the long-standing issues go completely unaddressed (just check the many real reviews that aren’t fabricated): deliveries get lost or stolen as there is no secure package room; cleanliness is terrible; homeless people continue trespassing the property and using the pool/jacuzzi/sauna; and there is no front desk or concierge after hours (so if your neighbor throws a party with loud music after midnight—which happens often—there’s no one to handle it).
Wear and tear is everywhere: cushions in common areas are dirty and moldy, pool chairs are broken, the sauna is constantly under repair, elevators barely work, and hallway AC is almost always off. And this is only two years after the property opened. I can’t imagine how it will look in a few more.
I’m sure management will send their standard automatic reply claiming their door is always open, which is simply untrue. The property manager never reads or replies to emails and doesn’t follow up on pending issues. I’ve had to leave work multiple times just to go to the office and beg them to address urgent matters. And for a real safety concern: take a look at the third photo—just the other day, a huge metal fence from the garage fell from the 5th floor onto cars. Thankfully, no...
Read moreI lived at Icon Marina Village and my experience was extremely disappointing and concerning. Despite being marketed as a luxury property, the actual living conditions were unacceptable and management repeatedly failed to respond to serious issues.
During my time there, I experienced: • Dog feces left in hallways and common areas that were rarely cleaned. • No working air conditioning or heat for extended periods, making the unit unlivable during extreme weather. • No security on the property, which led to homeless people wandering freely, entering the pool area, and even bathing nude in the jacuzzi. • An unsecured mailroom, where packages were constantly stolen or misplaced. • Vehicles damaged by hit-and-run incidents in the parking area, with no accountability or security measures in place. • Loud partying and screaming well past midnight from the Cove Club on site, despite being told it would close at 9:00 PM. • An incident where there was blood all over the elevator floor and handrail, which remained there and was not promptly cleaned up, adding to the unsafe and unsanitary conditions. • Worst of all, there was a homicide on the property, highlighting the complete lack of security and safety for residents.(see managers note to residents)
I made repeated calls and sent multiple emails to management with documented photos, asking for these issues to be addressed — no response and no resolution.
I ultimately gave 30 days’ notice to move out because the conditions were so unsafe and unsanitary, yet they still tried to pursue a debt for a lease they breached by failing to provide a habitable living environment.
If you are considering living here, I strongly encourage you to visit in person, speak to current residents, and look closely at the actual conditions before signing a lease. I would not recommend Icon Marina Village to anyone who expects basic cleanliness, safety, or...
