This park is well laid out. It provides facilities with heated / air conditioned restrooms that also accommodate the handicapped seperatly and in both the men's and women's standard facilities. There is adequate parking. That provides safe and easy access to the sand box. The play area for you and your very young children. Along with much of the parking giving good viewing and safe access to the park and pavilions and Small lake that you can actualy fish in if you have a licence: Along with viewing and quick access to the main offices and the extensive well kept walking paths that bring you throughout the entire park. Some pathways are blacktopped. The majority are not. The pathways even bring you to a connecting walk-over bridge that gives you access to two more excellent parks. The first is a park that had held the National Frisbee Golf Tournaments and provides year round access to the golf course. The next park is a extremely pleasant stroll through an area that at one time had been the mouth area of a tributary to the Mississippi River. AND. If you have a dog. Across one of the main roads of use and commerace, ( Concord ) At the car parking area of this second connecting park is a large flat area dedicated to your pet. A dog park. Where rover can run free. Unleashed. To meet with and make new friends and frolick in the joy of safety that the enclosed area provides.

But very pretty with native plants and wooded areas surrounding the water. They have a dock for fishing. There's supposed to be large mouth bass, green sunfish, bullhead, sunnies, crappies and some others stocked in it. A big playground for the kids to climb around on. Picnic tables scattered about. With grills to use. There's a senior activity center here. Also pavilions that can be rented for special occasions. All in all a nice place to enjoy a bit of the natural world while still being right in the middle of a city. There is a ChargePoint EV charger in the south parking lot. I've used it a few times. It used to be free to use, now it is not free anymore. You can never count on the gov't. to provide chargers for free. I didn't realize I was being charged for this session because the last time I used it (last year), it was free, so I did not bother to check the price. How very sneaky.
I have to pay a $75 EV fee every year when I renew my vehicle tabs. The tabs cost $511 including the $75 fee. What does the state do with this money? I won't be using this charger anymore.
