Stumbled upon this by accident on my morning run on some nearby trails. Such a beautiful farm and area, there is so much history here it is amazing to think about. The signs/plaques do a great job of explaining what happened and what it would've been like. Lots of areas to walk around if you'd like. A lot of people brought furry friends to walk around too.

Part of Harpers Ferry National Park. Beautiful and historic park that sits on the border of three states, along two rivers - no wonder it played a vital role in the Civil War. NPS guides were so helpful and knowledgeable. We had a lovely day waking trails to scenic overlooks and historically relevant places. The trails were gravel and easy to walk.

I went to downtown and it was really full so we just went here instead. Don't regret it. Also you can hike the full circle going from the main trail next to the parking and then towards the view and remains of the farmhouse. If you start from the parking lot and eventually loop left you will end up at the parking lot once again.

Quiet park area that not many people visit. About a quarter mile down a gravel road past the entrance is a small parking lot. Its about a quarter mile hike to the bluff and there are several other trails that can be walked. Well marked with history markers.

The downtown area was packed and we couldn't find parking. But, we are so happy...because we found the Murphy Farm. It is a perfect place to take your pups. Wide open spaces and a beautiful overlook to the Shenandoah river. Si much history to take in.

We visited on a cold winter day, so didn’t get the full beauty of the location. It was nice to be the only visitors around and to walk the property without bumping in to tons of other tourists. The rangers were incredibly helpful and very kind.
