This was my first time there, but I was so impressed by the actors/actresses professionalism! I saw "Exit Laughing" and laughed so hard throughout the whole play. The props were simple but realistic. For anyone who loves plays, this is definitely a fun and affordable night out. 9/15/23 - they added new chairs (so much more comfortable than the old ones!) They also put in risers so the customers sitting in the back are able to see over those in the front rows. I saw "Don't Dress for Dinner" tonight and couldn't stop laughing! Can't wait to see the next one! 3/15/24 - TAP (The Arctic Playhouse) has done it again!!! I saw "The Brothers Grimm" last night! By the time I left there my jaws hurt from laughing so darn hard! I so appreciate all the hard work that went into this production! This little theater in the heart of West Warwick is a 5 Star business! I thank the sponsors of TAP for supporting this business!

Read moreFull Disclosure: I am a patron and now a volunteer at The Arctic Playhouse because of the reasons noted below…
I first came to learn about The Arctic Playhouse, when someone dear to me was performing. After the show, I stood in the lobby with all the other patrons in awe. Not only was the performance of high caliber, which is evident in all their shows, but there was a special type of ambiance/aura that made me, as a patron, feel inspired. Almost as if, I was part of the performance. In most of their shows, the actors even come out to greet the patrons following the performance. Because of this, it is more than just going to the theater for a show, it is a celebration of how great theater builds community.
Their theater holds about 100 seats, and those seats are so comfortable with thick cushiony padding with every seat having a good view. An added bonus is that even though the theater tickets are reasonably priced @ $20, they still give their patrons complimentary oven-baked cookies, popcorn, and coffee. And.., they have a full bar with specialty drinks complimenting the show themes. 5...
Read moreI did not know what to expect when I grabbed the handle to the door. The staff immediately greeted the patrons. This was a welcomed surprise. As explored the lobby I wandered about the lobby I discovered the complimentary popcorn and coffee, I discovered the truly warm atmosphere. I felt welcomed throughout the experience and would recommend this venue for a night out with friends or a date. There is a full bar, and seating to be comfortable before the performance. The cookies people talk about in the other reviews are real! They were great. They are also individually served so not everyone's hand is in the cookie jar. I saw the production "Harvey". The acting was first rate and believable. Set and costumes were perfect, a challenge on a period piece. Audio can be tricky for a live performance. I could hear the cast comfortably. Seriously, this is the real deal right here in...
