We were on a family vacation to Maine and needed an activity to break up the 5 hour drive and let the kids burn off some energy. This was the perfect stop! It wasn't quite what we expected as it had a lot more "play" qualities than "museum" qualities but that was great. With the exception of the animals everything was interactive and play at your own pace. The big exhibit/activity was a space shuttle and space tower with nerf ball blasters. There were probably 7 or 8 areas in all, each with themed play - a construction area, music area, news studio, supermarket, and so on. The facility was very clean and well maintained. There was a small animal corner with guine pig, hamster, snake, turtle and bearded dragon that were fun to watch. I wouldn't make this a destination to drive a couple hours for but if you have kids and are in the area its definitely worth a stop.

We love this museum but it is so dirty. It’s worse because all the carpets have patterns so it hides the dirt, but when you look closely it’s covered with junk. It needs to be vacuumed daily but I’m not sure if it is because even if you arrive at 9am, the floor is covered in snacks, wrapper, pieces from the fossil exhibit, and so much dirt and dust. Just buy more vacuums and clean it more. The staff doesn’t interact with visitors at all but they are not cleaning, so just change that and require a little more cleaning! Also, the toddler toys are lacking. They need to be replaced and refreshed much more often. Again, it’s a great museum but clean it more!

Im not sure on why this place is called a museum, it's more like a play place with random facts/information posted around some of the areas. My young children loved it, would recommend children toddler to about 9 (depending on the development of your child). Very reasonably priced. There's also a cafteria/seating area that you can eat at, but no meal options on site (there are snacks you can buy). You can bring in your stuff, but no secure area to store it.

Had a blast here! Visiting from out of state with a 4yr old and overall I would definitely recommend a visit. Visited on Labor Day weekend and it was not busy at all. Admission is reasonable for what they have and we spend 2.5 hours here so well worth the price. Very interactive with many hands on play stations. Some exhibits could definitely use some TLC, a few not working buttons in the space themed area and some minor damage around the other exhibits. Understandably kids are going to break things from time to time. It didn't take away from our enjoyment. My 4yr old loved building with the foam blocks as well as the kitchen and space themed areas. It's not too big of a facility so you can sit and let your kid play while you watch and not have them get lost. I even found many of the open play exhibits fun as an adult! Great place to let curiosity and playfulness get the best of you. One suggestion is to re-word some of the signage so that it is a little more friendly, instead of NO RUNNING, perhaps "walking feet please". For a museum that promotes imaginative play the signage felt a little strict. I get wanting guests to be respectful and clean up but I would imagine a good portion of the kids visiting can't read so really the signage is...

It wasn’t bad but wasn’t great. There were a decent amount of activities and stations for the kids but they were absolutely trashed. I spent most of the time cleaning up after other people’s children and putting things back where they go. A lot of the parents treated the museum like a daycare and let them do absolutely anything without saying a word, or even a watching them. Some even left their kids unattended and two kids broke out in a fight and neither parent was around. Every other children’s museums we’ve been to have staff walking around cleaning up and keeping things organized. There was sand from the Dino dig being thrown out of the area, train tracks all over the floor, multiple kids eating all over the play areas. They had enough staff but nobody seemed to be doing anything to maintain it. It was a bit chaotic. It was also the loudest museum I’ve ever been. It’s cute but we probably...
