North Stadium — Attraction in Westminster

This place manages to both suck and blow at the same time. The facilities are nice enough, but some of their stadium “policies“ are ridiculous. We were there for a 7 PM boys lacrosse game in the middle of March. A front comes in, the temperature drops 20° and the wind comes up. My 80 yo mother had forgotten her gloves in the car so I walk up to go get them but the overzealous volunteer working security at the gate says no re-entry. Now I understand if I’m at a football game and there’s 3000 people and 10 high school kids want to go out to their car and shotgun beer and shoot fireball during halftime. But I’m a 50-year-old dude who forgot gloves and I can literally see my car on the other side of the fence 8 feet from you. Use a little common sense. And they have a no outside food and drink policy. OK fine. You don’t want me to bring my food and drink in I get it. Do they have concessions open? Hell no why would they do that? So I say to the friendly volunteer security lady at the front gate “You don’t let us bring in anything to drink, but then you don’t have any concessions to sell us something to drink?“ She says take it up with the district and turns her back on me. Very nice place and pretty fancy digs for a highschool stadium that it makes APS stadium look like a slum. I was impressed with 🏉 Rugby Colorado doing such a professional job hosting the events that day. The announcer mics were top quality and very clear to hear and well the scoreboard was huge, very plain to read w/o squinting, and worked properly. I was there for a track meet and there was only one way down to track, they would not unlock a gate to make it easier for people to access their children. They wanted people to put tents up in the grass, but it was so hard to get to the grass area hauling everything. The women's restroom was so hot and the water from the sink was really hot it hurt my hands. Definitely not looking forward to the next...
