I grew up on sunlight Beach and used to clam dig at freeland Beach back in early 2000s so I knew better but I guess not very smart of me to bring him to the beach at low tide in the winter . Don't want to be in the line of fire of imaginary laser pew pew or maybe get in the way of wood chip pies and bark tea parties or just in case the floor turns lava, there's a few benches and even an undercover area to park ya cheeks. Or if you like the beach, just on the other side of the grass barrier you'll find the beach and boat launch and a floaty dock to walk on.
