K for W Supermarket — Attraction in White Center

K for W Supermarket does not calibrate their scales. I paid full price for 1.19 pounds of shrimp, but when I picked up the box, it seemed awfully light. So I placed it on the produce scale and it only measured 1/2 pound. I asked the cashier to weigh it on her checkout scale and she refused. She also told me that the produce scale is not accurate and it is “only there for kids to play with”. Heed my warning if you are attempting to purchase anything with quantities for a recipe. The fact that they do not calibrate their scales for purchases has been reported to the Washington state Department of Weights and Measurements. This is a small, independent grocery store. Great place. Huge produce section! Big meat selection! Fresh fish and crab right from a tank. 8-10 aisles. Mostly foods for Asian style cuisine. There’s plenty enough variety for multiple varieties of cuisines. I’ll be here for produce and dairy at the least. Sometimes I just need a head of lettuce and this store is 3 blocks away. Five stars for KforW! This is my go to grocery store for all Asian food. Whatever I want, they always have it in stock for a great deal! The vibes are so authentic and the cashiers/workers are SO helpful and nice. They literally gave me free gifts last time I went in, and are always having great sales on seafood.
