Giant Wheel — Attraction in Wildwood

Awesome looking ride. Amazing to look at. 156 feet tall. The lights are just awesome to watch at night. You can see this wheel as you come into town. Price approx $5.50 per person. No single riders so to even get on it costs min of $11 because you need 2 people min. I believe there is suppose to be 40 passenger cars on it. A few are missing. THE BIGGEST ISSUE with 40 passenger cars you would think the line would go fast. NOT AT ALL. We waited in line almost an hour. Now if it was just because they were busy and that’s how long it took that would be understandable! They load 3 passenger cars. Those there get to the top. Then 3 more are loaded and the ride starts. YES THEY ONLY LOAD 6 passenger cars out of almost 40. So the ride is about 15% full each ride. Why in the world would you have 40 passenger cars and only use 6? Is it for a weight limit? If so why have 40 passenger cars? Can the ride not withstand the use of all passenger cars? Is the ride not properly built? Why not just have a Ferris wheel with 6 passenger cars if that’s all that’s going to be used. Obviously the 156 feet tall and 40 passenger cars is just a Gimmick. Conclusion: Overall it looks really cool. Awesome to look at. But not worth the wait to ride. Definitely question the integrity of the structure if only 15 % of the passenger cars...

The giant wheel (Ferris wheel) is not open until 11, was told that I can get on the giant wheel as long as I’m in line before 11 by the guest services lady but the catch is we went to get in line at 10:30 and the girl at the ride apparently makes her own rules and times and wouldn’t allow us to ride it, annoyed due to them not letting us get a refund either after we purchased the tickets to ride the giant wheel. Make sure you plan to get in line at 10 o’clock because they don’t follow their own rules. Ohh...

This is always a ride I must do when I come to Wildwood! It’s definitely gone up in price ($28 for 3 people) but still great to do. It’s very easy to find and easy to board the car. I’m not a fan of rides anymore but enjoy going on this one. The views are incredible and I felt safe being in the car. I would’ve liked to be on it a bit longer because I remember it being longer. I remember it making more revolutions around and also staying up longer. That was a bit disappointing but still happy with...
