Ive been coming to this arcade since i was a kid. Took my children here since they could walk. Always loved the old school skeeball and variety of claw machines and arcade games they had. I was a little concerned when i saw they were switching to all coinless machines. We stopped in here this past weekend as we were out at the Octoberfest they had on the boardwalk. The arcade is completely different then it was over the last 40 years. Gone are the classic skeeball that costs 25 cents and the rows of claw games. All the original poker games that i always loved to play are all gone. All the charm that this arcade used to have has been replaced by expensive ball drop machines and the weird card collecting games that cost a fortune. The beloved arcade i loved and grew up coming to is unrecognizable.
My family and I walked in, saw what they had done to the arcade and all agreed it was not for us anymore. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. This new style arcade may appeal to some people but definitely not our family. We will have to find...
Read morespent over$200 got all cards for a coin pusher and got denyed ANY tickets for them since golden ticket was not marked with their name it only had a barcode even tho an employe told us they can be cashed in at any location that offers the same game. Then they bad mouthed other arcades on the boardwalk. Employees mainly stand around and 9 out of 10 of them have no idea what they are being asked so it is very frustating . besides the olderr woman who was very kind to get a papertowel for my daughters ice cream... this place may be bigger, may have air cond. but that is all... eds funcade is still my fav. has a great selection of prizes @ very reasonable ticket amounts. Give aways daily / hourly... and never got ignored or missunderstood by staff. Spent less than $100 and got great gifts vs over $200 in an hour at this place snd got a doll that is cheap and dont work. also edfuncade has cards that offers games as low as 25c that you pay $1 anywhere else. PLEASE DONT BE FOOLED BY THIS PLACE... GO TO...
Read moreThis is where the kids had the most fun, until it came time to get prizes. There were quarter machine games. Pretty much all the games were made up the same way except for the claw machine which was another ripoff. Every half hour a man comes by and fix the toys and stuffed animals so that you can not win at all. Keep spending quarters if you like. Then the ticket cash in...OMG! The kids got 5-6,000 ticket each...but the prizes are worst than Chuck E. Cheese. A box of 8 no name brand crayons was 8,000 points...so each ticket was worth 10 points. When playing the games you had to shoot the quarter and aim it so that you can knock down certain coins that have numbers on it, and you receive that amount of tickets. Easy right? Lol, nope! Masterfully thought about ripoff games. To make more money off...
