I did not know that Surfside Pier belonged to Moreys Pier(S) Amusement. Do you see how I singled out that S? That's because I've been calling it Morey's Pier since I was a kid in the late 80s and thought the other piers were competing piers. Obviously, I don't go often. The last time, in the early 2000s, they still took tickets that you bought with cash. So know ahead of time there are apparently three piers where you can play. While on the topic of tickets, you can avoid the hassle of holding your phone under their scanners and changing the size and brightness over and over by printing up your bar code at home. Make sure the code is about 1.5 inches wide. This sweet lady said smaller is better, and I couldn't stop giggling. This pier has a haunted attraction, which I think is fine for kids 8-9 and up. I base this on my 6 year old having a near panic attack and his older brother thinking it was awesome. I should also point out that the older boy loves horror stuff. The tram roller coaster is fantastic. I'm mid forties now. Quick jolts hurt, and I love to complain. This ride was fantastic. My youngest had a blast. The older kids loved it. There were people ranging from 5 to 70 years old on this, and they were all smiling coming off. We stayed for about an hour and a half and I'm glad we went. The pier still seems to be family-friendly. I believe it is smoke-free, which doesn't apply on the boardwalk. I can say that I didn't smell smoke of any kind while we were there. I also didn't hear any swearing which is a odd rarity for Jersey. It was nice! We will be back again before the...
Read moreUnfortunately the piers have gone downhill a bit after covid. They really try and rip you off at customer service by purchasing a ticket pack which is very overpriced for what you get. It's better to get the 4pack passes or 1 and 1 for rides and Waterpark. A full ticket package costs 250.00. Be prepared for closed rides bc of staff especially popular ones during the week. It's just not worth the value for what you pay anymore. Also come during the day for shorter lines. They try and fill the rides to capacity which is fine, but slows you down a lot. Most rides are on avg only 30 seconds long which is very short from start to finish. We waited on rock and roll for over 5 min in load time and the ride lasted 29 sec going forward and only 16 seconds going backwards really really short. They really need to add another adult thrill ride or something. Seems it is more family friendly with more...
Read moreI recently visited Surfside Pier and Ocean Oasis Water Park in Wildwood, NJ, and had a great time. The pier itself was fun, offering some decent rides and food, but what really stood out to me was the water park. I spent 90% of my time in the adults-only warm pool with a swim-up bar, and it was fantastic! My husband and I had a great time relaxing there.
The only downside was the number of adults trying to bring their kids into the adults-only area, which caused some frustration for the lifeguards. Still, it didn’t detract too much from the overall experience.
The lazy river was also a hit, and my kids enjoyed it a lot. I loved the abundance of hammocks scattered around the park—perfect for unwinding. I highly recommend this water park for both fun...
