I was a little disheartened that there was no super convenient gas station at the end of my 60 mile ride ( I had to ride from my home to the Richmond trailhead ). Kinda wanted a cheap beer and a slice of 7-11 pizza, but lo and behold there was a freakin' brewery with live music and food trucks. Billsburg brewery, I believe was the name; but my old lady was there waiting to pick me up so I can't comment on the quality of their suds. Read moreGreat trail for biking and walking/running. Can get a bit busy on weekends or special events but as long as courteous and follow the rules of the trail, it works. Saw a great white heron up very close today in the Powhatan creek swamp headwaters. My trail today also included a part of the Greensprings trail (pedestrian only, no bikes) which connects to the Virginia Capitol trail. Love to walk and bike here...
