This playground gets improved every time I go! They now have a walk along story trail and give/take a book hut before the entrance! They have clean bathrooms, a bike repair station w/tools, water bottle fill up station and now a ninja fit course for the adults, along with soccer fields, paved walking trails, a pavillion with grills and picnic tables,etc...There's only a state park fee to enter with a kiosk available in the multiple parking áreas surrounding the playground, under $10. It's right down the street from Nemours hospital, so if you have a day off to take the kids to the doctor's, I would utilize this playground as a reward afterwards!!!! Bring a cooler of drinks, some charcoal and food to throw on the grill, have a "home base" at one of the many picnic tables inside/out of the playground area and let yourself and the children enjoy! Then come back alone to take a stab at the ninfa fit to test your agility and strength, who knows you might surprise yourself, I know I did!!! A must see playground and perfect for children on the spectrum!!! We usually spend atleast 2 hours at the playground and walk the trails before returning to the car. There is also golfing and an ice rink within walking distance from the playground but a very short drive for those who have ASD w/elopement concerns, or young under 5, or high child:parent ratio. My advice to parents of children who elope is bring a stroller and have a safe spot where you sit the stroller inside the play area next to the entrance/exit, and only let your child in/out of the stroller at the safe...

This is hands-down my favorite Park in the area, and there are a lots of parks in the area. It's big clean always has people around lots of shade from the trees and umbrellas that they have put up over the playground themselves as well. The walkways on the playground up and down are very wide so there's very little concern for kids running into each other and it's easy for adults to follow along with them on both the younger kids section and the older kids section. The sand area is great with little diggers to play with and the brand new padded Tree / log area is super fun to watch kids play on From the Bench while you have lunch under the shade of a tree. Go and enjoy this park as often as you can...

My kids love this playground! If you are driving in and dont have a park pass you do have to pay to enter. I have 3 boys ages 8, 4, and 3. They all love it. The ppl are always pleasant. There are fields to play in. My boys like playing soccer if the field isn't in use. There is a walking/jogging/biking trail my guys love riding their bikes and scooter. We've seen a lot of different birds and animals while here particularly in the mornings. There are also bathrooms here that are always clean when I've used them. The playground its self is alot of fun and has all the things kids wanna play on, including...

Replying to @OhGoodness This was such a great recommendation and has quickly become one of my new favorite parks in North Delaware. This 27,000 sq ft Boundless Playground is designed for kids of all abilities to play together. Swings, slides, and smiles all around! #thingstodowithkids #delawaretiktok #delaware #parks #thingstodoindelaware

This playground has great amenities including picnic tables, benches, restrooms, a pavilion, bottle filling station, and more. The addition of a ninja course is great for older kids. The activities here are pretty high and difficult for kids under 10. There are two other play areas for younger kids with swings, slides, climbing, sand play etc. There is a paved walking trail that extends through the state park. Parking is $4 for DE residents, $8 out of state. State Park passes can also be purchased.

Great playgrounds for kids! Nice sandbox area for kids and they have a playground area for younger and older kids. A safe park area and fun for kids. Shades along the edge of the park as well on a hot day. They also have picnic tables if you want to bring some lunch or snacks. One of the best playground in the area. Be aware that there is a parking fee. I have seen the state park ticketing those that haven't paid. If you have a Delaware state park pass, it is free.
